I have no idea if they removed the tube, why they put it in in the first place - Nada - Not happy with his family at the moment

Sus, I hope all is going well and you hear some great news soon. I was wondering is there a way to have him make you one of his powers of attorney for healthcare (as soon as he gets better) so that you will have to be contacted by any medical doctors, etc.? Just a thought. This must be pure torture and I go through this a lot with patients in the hospital here. We cannot provide any information unless they are POA or guardians.

I don't think I shared this story...

While leaving JA during one of my many trips, I went to the restroom at the airport. There was quite a line and the restroom was a bit messy (probably from the crowd). This one lady goes "You'd think that with that extra restroom fee they charged at the counter, they could keep it cleaner in here!"

Everyone else gave her quizzical looks. She goes "What? You didn't pay the restroom fee?" No one else had. She was NOT pleased.

For those that followed my story with Roc I think there may be an end in sight.

Well let’s rewind a likkle me and Roc have been kicking it strong for two years well it would have been two years in July. Yes me lubbed dis man ta pieces but I never filed for him nor was we thinking of filing anytime soon I was just in lub wid de boy wont front on that.

Me and Roc had our ups and down but it was cool or so I thought. Well a week before I was due to go for Roc’s birthday weekend he disappeared. “ Poof” Be gone. I had no idea where the boy dashed away too. I think you all remember that. Well I also had another JA friend down there we’ll call him B and I have a co-worker who messes with his brother we’ll call him A. Well when I was going out my mind trying to find Roc I had the A call Roc because I wanted to see if he was just ignoring me or was he not answering all together. Stupid yeah I know since he was the brother of B but at the time I wasn’t thinking. So A comes back and tells me Roc never answered. Until yesterday who knew what happened to Roc but I have since moved on found a nice piece of meat here in the Burgh so I’ve been cool.

There's that word again...but in this case I believe it fits. DaDa you know how I felt about you calling other people to find out what happened...but it was too late to take it back. I don't care if my heart is breaking in a million pieces...I will NEVER call other people to find out what's happening to A. If he can't take my calls when I call...eff him. I love him more than I can even imagine...but I love myself more and he knows it.

I am going to bite my tongue about your email group and the associated men because I am not in a tactful mood...and I don't want to say something about people I don't know. I'm glad you have a man to occupy your time now. There are a lot of women on this board that really know the Jamaican male psyche...and the desperation and hopelessness that can make some of them opportunists (trying to refrain from using the word gig). Unfortunately, no one wants to believe "their man" is capable of that desperation. In my opinion a man can use the words I love you all day long...but they will never ring true until that man trusts you from the bottom of his soul. Good times and great vibes are just that...but they do not make love to a man.

jawi what caused this back pain to begin with? was it an accident?

I think work...I was keeping around 60-65 hours per week before I got like this. The company policy is 12 to 1 for each supervisor...and I had 32 because a supervisor got a promotion and didn't give any notice so I stepped up to cover his team.

Jawi, hang in there. I'm sure you're also sick of having people tell you that but it's because we care. I know you need a break & I'm praying that it comes for you pronto! Talk to your creditors & explain your situation so you can make sure they work out a plan with you (I'm probably telling you something you already know). And you have every right to have some $hitty days & to be angry along with it. I'm sure you've heard this too but, it's okay to yell at God. He can take it & maybe it'll help to just scream 'why the hell' ya know? Take care of you the best you can right now....we all want to see you get better. Try to get that anger out & then remember the positive. Positive thinking helps the healing even though at times it can seem dyam near impossible to find something positive in times like this. See if you can get friends or family to help you more with things at home. Be easy on you my friend.

You guys are my sounding board and I feel that you all care more about me than the people that know me in person. I appreciate everything you all do to encourage me. I'll be okay...I'm sorry if I scared you all.

some of you might know of issues I have had with my teenage son (seems to be going around) so he is going to live with his auntie and uncle in Louisiana..... BUT GET THIS... The principal of the school told me today that they will only allow him to go there if I give up custody to my SIL and BIL! I said that I have signed to have them have temporary guadianship but he said NOT GOOD ENOUGH! #######??? this is a public school... anybody heard of such a thing b4?

Unfortunately thats the way some school districts operate. I would go on the school's - school district's website and see if you can find the "Parent's right's handbook" and see what your options are. If all else fails, contact the district and explain your situation. You can always threaten legal action and pulling him out of school. They don't like it when you do that because they lose money when you do that. Keep good records of whatever you do and hopefully his aunt and uncle will support your decision. I have had PLENTY of issues with my teenage son and his school, group homes, blah blah blah. Im a force to be reckoned with because they look at parents like we dont know our rights. Also, look into another school as well. Maybe the principal of that school wont have that issue.

I do have all my paperwork. He signed the DS-230 part I, I have 3 years worth of taxes, pictures when we were together with me and him and me with his family. We both have birth certificates, I have my passport, no criminal background, he is about to go see about the medical. Anything else I need? I hope we get a Sept. date because my birthday is on the 18th. Wouldn't that be crazy if the interview is the same day as my birthday? You guys are SUCH a big help.

That happened to me. My bday and interview was on 6/15. It was and I think always will be the best birthday ever. I hope you get to have that experience too.

Yeah mi like dat As the Yaad Turns.. No darling me naa send him no Benjamin’s I kept it real with you the only money I sent was in the beginning when he was really sick I sent 40.00 to help him get his meds and then for Xmas aaw memba I sent him my care package of boxers, t-shirts, ankle socks, bird seeds (as he called them but there sunflower seeds) flaming hots stuff animals and a xmas card. Then after that I think I took down there a t-shirt and a jacket and..... and..... dats it... See Roc neva came at me asking for no money I thought he was doing well he had his own place and ish and he used to hint about needing money for the rental car but once I got to crying the blues on how I'm a mother of four and I'm already on the verge of bankrupt he piped down and rented the damn car. Part of me says that just doesnt sound like Roc but then how do they know about the rental car.... Oh well I'm suing that story as my closure and moving on.. Well I have moved on but you know what I mean.....
