Our interview is in Monday. I'm thinking to stay in Montego Bay Thursday night & check with DHL Friday morning (and again Friday afternoon).

Don't bother with staying in Mobay, just call them & you can catch a taxi there to pick up if you need to. I'd even start calling by Wednesday noon because you never know, it might be ready by then.

Oh, I'd stay in MoBay regardless.... I want to check out that casino we didn't go to last time. Plus, it's convenient already being in MoBay the day of my flight... only 5 minutes to the airport compared to over an hour.

Oh, I didn't realize the K1's went through AP sometimes. 22 year with the company??? I didn't think you were that much older than that.

I didn't either!

Yes, Finesse, I'm going to the interview. I'll be using 5 of my 6 remaining vacation days to go...

JaPrincess, glad you're doing better. I'm also eagerly awaiting culture1's results. Regarding the hardest thing ever, someone created a thread about that a few months ago. I, along with others who were waiting for NOA2, said that the waiting was the hardest part. But those who already had NOA2 said that the REAL hardest part is the interview, because your fate lies in the hands of the ONE PERSON you talk to at the embassy, and you have no idea of how that person is feeling that day.

Congratulations to RoxieJoe!

Lord it took me forever to catch up and now I have no clue what I wanted to respond to

I am feeling a little better this morning, should be back to work tomorrow.

I am worried that no news is not good news where culture is concerned. I hope that she comes to give us an update today.

Lawny, sorry you are going through so much, safe travels for you tomorrow (F) My heart goes out to your friend too, so much on her plate.

He said the sweetest things to me this morning :luv:

He said looking into my eyes is like looking into a mirror, he said the first time we touched it was like water touching water an he could just melt into me...

lawd, the man knows just how to put the things I feel into words

I pray for a NOA2 every day... this LDR thing is the hardest thing I have ever gone through... and I lost my Mom at 19 years old... I know pain...

anyway, I think I need more rest.... sure miss ya'll...

 these tings crack me up.....it is sweet but sound like he reading a hallmark card

RoxieJoe & her Mr had their interview today.

Steven didn't say anything cause I didn't tell him voice-to-voice. My first instinct is to communicate via an electronic means.... I sent him a text when we got NOA2 and a text when we got the interview date.

I do think he's realizing that it's the real thing now and that he will be separated from his family (who he is very close to) for a long time. I think he'd trying not to display his concern in that area, but I KNOW it has to be bothering him some.

I'm going to keep the housekeeper, but reduce the frequency to every other week. Now that things are clean & I'm more in the habit of keeping things straight, there isn't as much for her to do. Last week I had her iron all the clothes in my closet. Tomorrow, I'm not sure what I'll ask her to do.

** Paging Ells**

I just seen your post about the Mr being uninterested and what ever you do DO NOT become frustrated. I try to tell all my brides... well people i know getting married that most times the man will NEVER be as interested in the details as we are. All they want to know is what are they eating and drinking the rest is up to you. Your going through what a lot of ladies go through. Now granted there are some husbands out there that do help with the planning but for the most part its to keep the future Mrs off there back.

It was the same way with my soon to be one day ex he could care less and sometimes at night I was up worried and he was just sleeping or playing his stupid X-Box. As long as we had fried chicken on the menu (which I later took off) he was contempt. When you sit back and think about its really our day in a way and I guess they figure why participate in something they know at the end its going to be what we want anyway.

Calm down chica that is what your MOH is for pesture her with the details and just tell Mr. to be at the darn alter....

Thanks DaDa! I know it's mostly me fussing but the thing is, he DOES care but he doesn't like doing the 'homework' involved with it. He's way more fussy than me about what he's wearing. He's on to his 2nd outfit selection now. But it's partially true, he mostly just wants to know what he has to do the day of & leave the rest to me. I don't have a MOH or any bridesmaids so it's just up to my good friend who's my 'planner'....I'm trying to just let it all go now & know things will work out fine even if we don't have all the music we want & it's going to be fun & who cares if it's not perfect.

Dat a girl!!! That's the attitude you should have.... As long as you, him and god are there and you both say I Do that's all that matters. I'm sure your planner has it all under control so rub your ears and say whoo sawwwwww and what will be will be plus what isn’t its too late the big day is this weekend right??

Speaking of which and this is not reference to you Ells lol but does anyone watch Bridezillas?? I was watching some reruns this past weekend ( I swear I can watch wedding stuff all day long) and the one girl was a trip. Its was the second time both of them were getting married and she went on his bachelor party with him and argued with all his friends and him too smacked so woman punched her wedding cake and told her FI that if he didnt want to marry her so what as fine as she was someone else would. I was toooo out done!

ok..cause hubby did his medical but the kids just have updated regular shots...ok mi a go tell her

I'm guessing since the kids have the vaccination cards from school shots, etc., they'll probably just have to show those as proof they've had the proper vacs done.

I have a few questions that my fiances mom just asked me and please forgive me and be patient with me for my lack of knowledge:

On the I-797 Notice of Action is a date 6/30/09 to 10/30/09 - Does this mean when his visa gets approved lets say 9/24 just as an example, we only have until the 30th of October to marry or after he arrives in the States we have 90 days to marry?

After receiving the visa, how long does it usually take to receive it? Just trying to possibly get us home on the same flight because I am trying to attend the interview. I get 5 weeks vacation per year so it might be a good chance he can come back with me.

The date on the NOA of 10/30 is when it expires. Basically, you have until 10/30 to do the interview. However, if for some reason there was a hold up with the interview scheduling, as long as your case is still in process, they will disregard that expiration date. Once you are approved at the embassy, the visa is good for 6 months so he can use it up till the 6 month mark when that expires. If he didn't want to come right away & wanted to get things settled at home, he'd have 6 months to use it. The 90 day deadline happens the day he arrives at POE in the U.S.

I took 3 weeks off & our interview was two days after I arrived. Got in that night, did our business the next day of paying the visa fee, etc., drove to Kingston, got a hotel room & had our interview early the next morning. The visa then was available a week to the day later. (Interview Wednesday, visa ready Wednesday.) It might have been there sooner but I followed instructions & waited the full week like they ask you to at the embassy. By then I still had a week & 1/2 left of my time there. If I'd known it was going to come so quick, I would've cut a week off my trip but I wanted to make sure to give the embassy plenty of time in case of any delays because you never know how that will go.

Thanks Ells just what I needed to know! Btw, Im VERY happy for you guys! :)

I haven't slept for two days now...last night my girlfriend's grandmother passed all of her organs shut down then she went into cardiac arrest, we watched them work on her -- then my girlfriend told them to stop because her grandmother wouldn't want people working on her like that and she's young only 72. I feel bad because I won't be here to help her with the planning for the services. She's also pregnant and has young kids that start school in a few weeks.

Sus; how is DJ? Link me when u wake.

Oh My goodness, I am really sorry to hear this you are going through so much lately and you are still there for anyone who needs you which is awesome! I am praying for you Lawny!

tre how is grandma?

mawnin Bunz; not good, but she was well enough to tell the hospital staff fi go dead a bush n tap feel ar up -- so, her head and MOUTH is still working. She has limited movement on the left side. She always manages to pull through and I'm praying this is one of those times, but she told me lastnight she's really tired of this and next time she don't want to go to no dutty hospital.

Your Grammy is in my prayers I have faith she will be just fine! LOL @ her mouth working just fine, that made me feel good today her spirit is strong! (F)

Sorry to hear about your friend Lawny and Grandma - will be praying for her -

Last update I had on DJ was that he was doing a little better - but of course, no one could call me last night so that I could talk to him or to give me more of an update, and either the bloodclaat stole his phone and tossed it or used it, shut it off and put it back - cause it's off -

Sus have they removed the tube from his throat? I hope you get more info today to ease your stress (F)
