Bunz...Yea..I haven't figured out Lisa yet..poor Kim mi batty..she need fo go get a nice wig..why the heck she wears them anyway?

Yeah... I REALLY hope that one episode they show her without a wig. Curious minds want to know what she looks like!

I just can't believe that she's only 29. She looks so much older than that.

I just had a flashback....

Our initial plan was to file for a visitor visa and have Steven spend 2-3 months here, so we could get to know each other more before filing for the fiance visa. But then I did research on the visitor & fiance visas & found that 1) the visitor one is frequently denied and 2) the fiance one can take a while. So we decided to do the fiance one only.

In December, I told my mother of the change of plans and she asked me "Why are you rushing?" At that time, not even knowing that my case would take so much longer than usual, I told her that it's not rushing when the process will take a good 6 months.

In retrospect, I am SO GLAD we went with the fiance visa. As it is, we'll probably get married 1 yr after the engagement, which happened 1 yr after we met. I can't imagine having to wait another long time for him to get here...

Hey Nat I wanted to do a visitor visa too, but then came to the same conclusions as you and am also soo glad I just filed for the fiance visa. Our times lines all together are pretty close. I got engaged almost a year after meeting my fiance and we are getting married 2 years after meeting. I think you met your fiance a month after me ( I was Oct. 2007) and then we filed a coulple of weeks apart. Then you had that HORRIBLE wait, but I was thinking about it and in the end it looks like your fiance is going to come here less than 10 days after mine, if you can get that visa in hand for him to fly back with you. Speaking of which, have you figured out if you are going to chance it and buy him a ticket on your return flight? Do you have any options if you need to change the ticket or is it all or nothing (nonrefundable ticket). I think you can get it that Friday and I would love to see him fly back with you.

Tre- I'm so sorry to hear about all the sadness around you. It sounds like you are a lot like your grandma. I read your review last night at the embassy and you had me cracking up.

Sus- The unknown is the worst. I feel so bad you can't get a decent, regular update. I'm glad DJ got moved and is doing better.

Ms.Tee- That's great news! You are on your way now. Why did it take so long at NVC? I didn't realize your file was there for so long. Just random?

Kimmy- Way to go on your grades!!

Good morning/afternoon everyone else ( I know I'm backwards and should have said that first).

So MsTee - what took you so long to join VJ? LOL... I see you started your file in Feb right?

Well I didn't know anything about it until I met a classmate on facebook, whose mother use to babysit my daughter. So she was the person who introducted me to VJ. I still get lost and confused. lol

I just checked out MsTee's timeline. Funny how things go.

She filed exactly 2 months after me, and got approved 1 week before me, but took a lot longer to get to NVC then got held up in AP for a bit.

It's like this journey has a bunch of unanticipatable twists & turns; you never know which hurdles (delays) you'll face. So it goes...

Exactly and thats why I was getting a little frustrated because I knew that our timelines were close
