Nat - I enjoyed your customs story. I'm always unsure on what I can bring back, food wise. I brought back some frozen patties and they went unnoticed. I'm still not sure if you can bring them back or not. I thought you couldn't bring back any fruit or vegetables. Also, what about liquor? I'm giving overproof to the men for wedding favors and still need about 10 more. I'm thinking between the two of us we should be O.K, but does anyone know the offical rule/law?

I was told 2 bottles by an Immigration officer.

He didn't know I had 4 :whistle::innocent:

I like Nat's immigration story too.

It sounds like a term of endearment... like she pack Steven up in her luggage :lol:

What are your feelings about seeking revenge?

Not interested.

I don't want to spend my energy on the negative... any time I have been hurt in my life I have prayed for help to forgive.

She can still be black, no?

I don't know. As the world becomes more multi-cultural, I never know what color people are... not necessarily a bad thing.

so you see from mi son picha, im is mixed...white/black.....my son has this one friend who looks alot like him so i asked him if his mom was white or black or his dad was (not that it mattered i was just being nosey).....and he said neither one...he is native american and mexican...i was like :blush::unsure::huh: .......come to think of it most of his friends are mixed....i just doan knoa wid what....or someone looks black and they really are puerto rican...or they look chinese and they really are jamaican...

all i know is never judge a book by its cover...

Thats the definition of Black.

Mrs. T; be careful how much you bring back. I've always been able to bring back tons of rum cream, but not "hard liquor"...there's a limit I think to three bottles (large). The rum cream is in a different category, so they've never said anything to be about the amount I bring back...but I was given a hard time for brining back 6 bottles of appleton, they let me through, but the customs' officer in Baltimore told me not to do that again or I'll be fined and they'll take them from me.

You can't bring back fruit (you can try), but why risk getting fined or end up in custom's court...back in the day they weren't so strict, but I don't have $300-$500 to pay customs for fruit dat don't even cost no wear near dat...might as well mi bring up di whole damn tree.

You wouldn't get fined if you declare it. Worst case is that they'll not let you bring it in.

On the CBP form you fill out on the plane, it does say that you can't bring fruit & vegetables. But on the monitors talking about customs & what you can/can't bring (this played while in the first long line after you get off the plane), they say that some fruits & vegetables are permitted. You just have to declare it and they'll inspect them for bugs.

Nat the only time I know they let you bring friuts and vegetables is if it's cooked or bottled in syrup. Like sugarcane has to be pelled with no bumps showing. I know you have to declare it (but) not all officers will let you off that easy, espcially if you're a frequent traveller. I bring up breadfuit all the time. I've seen them take pork (don't ask) from people and some other cooked meats. They've never taken fish from me
