I can't believe that it has only been about two months now & already I can't remember some of the details of our interview. I'm trying to finally write out our embassy experience & can't remember certain things. My early Alzheimer's can be a real pain in the a$$!

We need your review! Think HARD. :)

Have a good weekend Quana & My2, too, as you'll probably pop up on here soon.

I wasn't ignoring your posts. From peoples' posts & PMs, I knew there were three options that most of you did:

1) Send the signed letter via DHL (Jawi)

2) Request an appointment to drop off the signed DS-230 (Ells & others)

3) Email an unsigned version to the embassy & deliver the signed version at the time of interview. (This worked for 2 people that PM'd me)

Of those three, the email one struck me as the best, since it was immediate and free.

But I did follow your advice & have Steven mail the signed copy... just not via DHL. Sometimes my cheapness gets in the way of things, but I wasn't willing to pay that much to get them the document. Looks like it's costing me a couple of weeks.

Oh okay...like I said I was like what did I say wrong? What did I do to her? My little feelings were so hurt. I'm very sensitive...even though I speak my mind.

However, I got one of the scrub brushes designed for the tub, and I get in it in old socks...put my cleaning supplies on the walls of the tub...then I scrub with the brush as I walk in a little circle, since I can't stretch across the garden tub to clean it. You should have seen the smile on my face when i finished...I finally accomplished something by myself. I hate toothpaste spatters on the faucet and mirror too...a pet peeve!

I like that idea about scrubbing the tub....I might try that in the shower. Toothpaste spatters bug me too! Anything that only takes a few seconds to clean up after but don't get done basically annoys me.

Me too. I have a problem with papers...every paper is important including old bills that I paid. I don't know why I won't just throw them away. I was actually able to find every single phone bill since A and I started conversing over the phone back in 2004 for the process. I wonder if it is safe for me to get rid of them now. The shower stall is the hardest thing to clean in my opinion...especially the floor of it.

They sell the brush in Walmart with the mops and stuff...it has a flat blue scrubby head that rotates like a seesaw and a telescoping handle.

I like that idea about scrubbing the tub....I might try that in the shower. Toothpaste spatters bug me too! Anything that only takes a few seconds to clean up after but don't get done basically annoys me.

I'm strange in that messy-ness doesn't really bother me EXCEPT in the bathroom. That's the room I keep the cleanest.

The bathroom and kitchen have to be spotless...and I cannot use the same mop from the bathroom in my kitchen. I have two different mops one for the bathrooms and another one for the kitchen. The one for the kitchen gets replaced quite often. I don't like grungy looking dish cloths so I will wash them a couple of times then throw them out. I don't do sponges because of bacteria and stuff. My son had gotten in the habit of leaving dishwater in the sink when he was done...YYYYUUUCCKKK!! I cannot reach my hand in that to unplug the sink. I use the little tablets that clean garbage disposal because I hate the smell of them. I'm a mess...bordering on OCD. I used to clean my bathroom floors with a toothbrush before I had kids...I keep the Mr. Clean antibacterial wipes in the bathroom to wipe down the faucet, sink and mirror after tooth brushing...I also use them on the toilet seat in between cleanings.

Has anyone tried the little Scrubbing Bubbles toilet cleaner that you snap into the bowl with a special wand? Man, that thing smells so freaking good! I love it...except my kids like to use it as "target" practice. LOL

I have that. That actually reminds me... I haven't put a new tablet in the bowl since the last one washed away months ago.

But :wow: at your level of cleaning. See... that's why I had to get the housekeeper. From listening to other peoples' cleaning routines, I knew I was slacking big time. But now the housekeeper cleans the floors (by hand with rags; she doesn't like mops), toilet, shower, and everything else weekly.

I like seeing the results, but not enough to where I'd ever put that much effort into getting them myself. Once Steven gets here, I'll have her come only once/month to dust n stuff.

what $600.00 isn't much...what am I missing...is that U.S. or if it's even Canadian...it is still more than she would get if he was there. because let's keep it real a lot of them weren't making that much anyway...and is she were working his money was doing a whole lot.

It was Canadian...I guess I was saying it wasn't much from an American standpoint...but I know in Jamaica it was making a huge difference. Too bad the girls didn't feel the difference. He sent money...and I bought clothes because I just love little girls...and it was so much fun shopping for them. They were still wearing the shoes I brought when he got back to Jamaica until Islandwoman took some more things to them on her last trip. I don't understand that. Whenever I see her...she is dressed to the nines. Bullsh*t!

exactly, cause he could have left her for someone in j.a.

you all are bad all now i haven't put insurance on mr jengs mini-van...

get on the phone and get that car insurance!

wicked wicked ooman!!

don't people realize that the children are the ones getting hurt here????

The kids suffer the most. I want to buy them things...but now she won't even let them wear stuff I buy. I wonder if she will turn down my money too? I don't want to bash this woman...but this subject just boils me. I know he is not just telling me stuff...because I have been there to experience it with him. He talks to her in front of me...and he knows that I understand patois...he put her on speakerphone when she told him to come home and be a family again then he can see the girls everyday. Then, she asked him if she had to pay him to phock her.

She can't make him change his mind about being with her...so she uses the girls. I don't want to take her place as mommy (not much anyway LOL) so we will try for a visitor's visa for them both. Hopefully, she will grow to accept or allow that at least. I know he is going to miss them...so be prepared for me asking for advice.

i would like to believe that she will get over it eventually....maybe when she gets anew man or whatever but she really sounds like a piece a work!!!!

She and mr jengs baby mother must be sisters

when I went to ja even the older kids knew she wanted to be with him..she stopped speaking to them because she thought they were carrying "news" to me. She only started speaking to them because she knew them and I had a relationship. even when me and mr jengs have our fights I still speak to them. I am their mother plain and simple.

Jawi - I can relate on her not wanting the clothes...this one told me she don't want it...stupid her..mr jengs is tight with his money..so when I went to j.a. last year I only left for her what his money bought...shoes and some hair clips...and if she knew how I had to beg for him to give me the hairclip money. All the other girls got more because my money buy it.

Jawi you said she is always dressed to the nines...so that is where the money is going. He should class her azz up and tell her to tek care of fi him pickney dem.

Got insurance on the car but didn't get to the dmv on time...of course I won't blame it on vj.

I have heard of baby mama drama...but I always thought it was stuff men made up so they could stay sorry. LOL I could understand not wanting the clothes if the girls already had excess...but when they are walking in shoes that are too small and pulling them off when they finally get where they are going because they are in pain...I don't. If a woman wants to treat my sons like part of her family, and she is good to them I have no problem with it. My son's ex-stepmommy was great. I used to buy her a Mother's Day gift even though she didn't have her own kids because she loved my child...and wanted the best for him.

I wish I could have a good relationship with their mother. But, she doesn't want anything to do with me...unless it is money I'm sending. I got them some Polo sneakers that were white and pink..with little matching Polo tennis dresses...they got a lot of compliments on them. She asked A why he didn't buy leather sneakers so she didn't have to clean them. Ummm lazy...you aren't working...what is so hard about cleaning a little dirt off their shoes?

On the ds-230 thing, mr jengs sent his in by courier, worked for us.

I have so much reading to catch up on but I have to put away the laundry I did today. :crying:

I sometimes go weeks without putting away clean folded laundry. It just sits there in a stack somewhere other than where it belongs!:whistle:

She asked A why he didn't buy leather sneakers so she didn't have to clean them. Ummm lazy...you aren't working...what is so hard about cleaning a little dirt off their shoes?

What do you mean by courier? Is that DHL, regular mail, or something else?

That is what they use in j.a. you can fill it out via computer e-mail to him, he can sign it and send it by courier to the embassy, should cost around 700 j.a. it should be same day service or something like that.
