The wedding planning is coming along nicely. Thank God I have a good friend who is doing all my reception planning, catering & cooking! She is my angel. Then I have another friend who will be giving me a discounted rate on photography & her son will be giving a discounted rate on DJ services. Everything is pretty much set....just waiting for the last bit of RSVPs so we can plan accordingly (chair rentals & food prep) & we'll be set. Two weeks....weird! LOL!

I live in the suburbs...so no public transit for me. I have to drive about 20 minutes to get to a RideShare lot...take a private sector bus to the public transit system rail station...then catch a bus to work. I used to run to catch the train in order to catch the bus that would get me to work on time. I definitely don't think I can manage that kind of physical activity right now. My run every morning involved three huge flights of stairs to the top platform...and I didn't loose one single solitary pound in a year and half of riding everyday for 5 days a week. My ride on the bus took an hour and half in the morning and two hours in the evening. The buses get to use the emergency lanes in rush hour traffic on some interstates. Cha!

Don't even get me started on public transit in Atlanta! It is a non-existent joke.

So much for that thought! I'm feeling fortunate to live in SF & have tons of public transport. I know it will be different if we ever move somewhere else though.

I haven't done anywork today. I really just want to go home to my hubby.

Awwww! :luv:

(Me too though...)

Can you imagine...your man is at home.? Do you remember what it was like before he came?

Quiet & tidy?? But seriously, it is nice to have him here....sometimes I just wish our place was bigger so one of us could escape when we needed time to ourselves. Someday.....

i thought he was home vaccuming?

Yes, he vacuums & does other things but he is still learning the whole 'put stuff back where it came from thing'. He is great though....if I get really serious & he sees my super unhappy face, he 'pulls up his socks' (his favorite saying during times like that) & fixes what is bothering me. Earlier this week I came home to a mess after I'd asked him to simply stack the dishes neatly in the sink & I'd do them. He wasn't home when I got home (which is fine) and I had to clean up behind him & put a bunch of things away. When he came home I was NOT happy. I explained that when he doesn't have school there's no reason I should have to come home & clean up after him after I've been at work all day. He got it. The next day I came home & all the dishes were washed good (finally didn't hurry through them & leave food gunk) & the kitchen was clean.....I was HAPPY! And I showed him too!:lol:

 way to go. my husband was always good about cleaning. before he got his ead and was working, he used to do every frickin thing in the house just to have something to do. and even when he works he still do it cuz he got so into the habit...

Okay my doctor will be faxing a letter to my job with me being on extremely limited light duty work for no more than 5-6 hours per day. I'm salaried so they should be able to work with the 6 hours per day. I can't do much of anything but sit in my chair and take brief walks to stretch every 20 minutes or so...LOL

I guess I will be outside with the smokers most of the day.

My biggest fear about returning to work was the h*llish commute in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic. But if I can get a 2-3 hour lead on the traffic rush...I should be able to drive with minimal effort. A straight shot on the highway should keep me from having to turn my neck as much if I stay in one lane.

Oh that’s good news. They should be ok with the 6 hours, anymore would be too much. Does that mean you’ll go in earlier and get off earlier?

I wish. I used to work 5 AM until 2 PM...then I had to get it in my head to go into management. Now the earliest I can come in for my department is 800 AM (although I get there at 630 AM to avoid traffic and get a good parking space). 8 to 5 puts me smack dab into the middle of traffic both ways. I don't mind being early for a peace of mind...and I was able to get coach notes and planning summaries done before my reps got in...so I will leave at 3 instead of 5 with only working 6 hours per day. I think I can manage that.

NatPat, Joel and I are doing fine, we are just waiting for the 8/5 date. I have been busy at work, since I will be out for a minute again the first week of Aug. After Joel gets here I will try to be off for the next two weeks.
