i don't pay c/s...he pays me. before our divorce was final, my son stayed temporarily with him....i mean very temporary...like less than a month

Ooops...I misread...that's how rumors get started. LOL

Jawi, you do know one. When i took my son's father to court for c/s because I made more money I ended up paying and I had the child in my custody. That's when I learned that c/s is a formula and not an automatic absent parent pay.

You pay the father or was it ordered for him not pay anything because of the formula.

Because we are not cordial, I have nothing to do with him. I pay them and they send me a check. I tried to reverse this for 5 years and just have nothing in place, but have been unsuccessful. Since I get the money back anyhow I stopped trying. Now after 15 years it’s just going to be this way.

They say he pays something, but to who...we don't get anything and then he would stop working and after college he moved to another state. They tell me the reason I get my money back is because he's paying. But then why do I have to pay in the first place!

that sounds like one big bag a mess

I haven't done anywork today. I really just want to go home to my hubby.

Awwww! :luv:

(Me too though...)

Can you imagine...your man is at home.? Do you remember what it was like before he came?

nope, seems like we have been married for 100 years

Quiet & tidy?? But seriously, it is nice to have him here....sometimes I just wish our place was bigger so one of us could escape when we needed time to ourselves. Someday.....

Okay my doctor will be faxing a letter to my job with me being on extremely limited light duty work for no more than 5-6 hours per day. I'm salaried so they should be able to work with the 6 hours per day. I can't do much of anything but sit in my chair and take brief walks to stretch every 20 minutes or so...LOL

I guess I will be outside with the smokers most of the day.

My biggest fear about returning to work was the h*llish commute in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic. But if I can get a 2-3 hour lead on the traffic rush...I should be able to drive with minimal effort. A straight shot on the highway should keep me from having to turn my neck as much if I stay in one lane.

I'm glad things are 'kinda' working out. I wish you didn't have to do that commute at all....your poor neck! I take it you live too far from work to take public transit?

remeber jawi, it wasn't ordered custody.. when i left him, i took the kids and he never returned them from one of their visits.. becuz we weren't divorced, i couldn't do anything about it.. perhaps kidnap them again from him.. then him do it to me again.. so i grinned and beared it, paying money just to "quiet the beast" and hope i could come to some agreement while we were waiting on the divorce to come thru..

i know EXACTLY what A is going thru and its DISGUSTING.. we try to consider our kids but when the person who has them is just USING them.. u are helpless but to do what they say... at least i could get sole custody.. i really hope A can get some closure to all of this..

i agree....it is so effing disgusting...i hate people like that

oh hell no.. how can u pay if he is in ur custody??? I could see them making no order at all maybe..

It's taken out of my bi-weekly pay and I get checks from them every month. No seriously I do... dyamnest thing ever! :bonk:

so he don't have to pay nothing toward the rearing of his children just cuz u make more?? well dyam.. maybe i don't need to put c/s on him.. i only make a likkle more tho, so i should be good.. i hope

Oh that’s good news. They should be ok with the 6 hours, anymore would be too much. Does that mean you’ll go in earlier and get off earlier?

Yes, he vacuums & does other things but he is still learning the whole 'put stuff back where it came from thing'. He is great though....if I get really serious & he sees my super unhappy face, he 'pulls up his socks' (his favorite saying during times like that) & fixes what is bothering me. Earlier this week I came home to a mess after I'd asked him to simply stack the dishes neatly in the sink & I'd do them. He wasn't home when I got home (which is fine) and I had to clean up behind him & put a bunch of things away. When he came home I was NOT happy. I explained that when he doesn't have school there's no reason I should have to come home & clean up after him after I've been at work all day. He got it. The next day I came home & all the dishes were washed good (finally didn't hurry through them & leave food gunk) & the kitchen was clean.....I was HAPPY! And I showed him too!:lol:

I live in the suburbs...so no public transit for me. I have to drive about 20 minutes to get to a RideShare lot...take a private sector bus to the public transit system rail station...then catch a bus to work. I used to run to catch the train in order to catch the bus that would get me to work on time. I definitely don't think I can manage that kind of physical activity right now. My run every morning involved three huge flights of stairs to the top platform...and I didn't loose one single solitary pound in a year and half of riding everyday for 5 days a week. My ride on the bus took an hour and half in the morning and two hours in the evening. The buses get to use the emergency lanes in rush hour traffic on some interstates. Cha!

Don't even get me started on public transit in Atlanta! It is a non-existent joke.
