So after emailing the consular email address a zillion times, last time I emailed both the consular one AND the kingstonivinfo one. The kingston one responded today.

and what did they respond and say?????

J2A...they tried that with my ex-husband too at the divorce hearing. They rescheduled us twice because he was no longer employed and signed the divorce settlement stating he would pay $600 per month, and he wouldn't show up for the hearings. The judge finally got tired of waiting on him to appear and granted me the amount that he agreed to. I told him that I just wanted the divorce and he could remove the order of child support if need be...I just wanted my divorce.

When the judge granted my divorce, I shouted "Give us FREE" the courtroom burst out in laughter and the judge banged his gavel...but I couldn't help it. Then I did the soul train dance down the aisle. I was so freaking happy! I told you I'm a fool. The judge chuckled a little too.

Nothing. They said they can't schedule the interview until they received the DS-230. Guess they didn't accept the electronic version that was attached.

But I'm gonna call the Dept of State to verify that the US Embassy hasn't received it...

remeber jawi, it wasn't ordered custody.. when i left him, i took the kids and he never returned them from one of their visits.. becuz we weren't divorced, i couldn't do anything about it.. perhaps kidnap them again from him.. then him do it to me again.. so i grinned and beared it, paying money just to "quiet the beast" and hope i could come to some agreement while we were waiting on the divorce to come thru..

i know EXACTLY what A is going thru and its DISGUSTING.. we try to consider our kids but when the person who has them is just USING them.. u are helpless but to do what they say... at least i could get sole custody.. i really hope A can get some closure to all of this..

i agree....it is so effing disgusting...i hate people like that

Jawi, you do know one. When i took my son's father to court for c/s because I made more money I ended up paying and I had the child in my custody. That's when I learned that c/s is a formula and not an automatic absent parent pay.

oh hell no.. how can u pay if he is in ur custody??? I could see them making no order at all maybe..

It's taken out of my bi-weekly pay and I get checks from them every month. No seriously I do... dyamnest thing ever! :bonk:

Did you write to request a drop-off appt yet?

No. I sent them an electronic version (many times) and Steven mailed them a signed hard copy. I was really hoping they'd take the electronic version...

I just responded to the email they sent today asking if they can accept the electronic version until the interview.

But I'm about to call the Dept of State to see if, by chance, the person who saw one of my many email messages decided to use the attached DS-230 & link it to our file.

Nat doesn't an electronic copy of the DS-230 negate the requirement for an original signature from Steven? Even if you scanned in the original DS-230 with his signature, they will still see it as a photocopy. Well, now you have to get them to respond with a date to drop off the original. Does Steven have an original ready to be dropped off? Oh...wait you all can do that when you get there huh?

i don't pay c/s...he pays me. before our divorce was final, my son stayed temporarily with him....i mean very temporary...like less than a month

Ooops...I misread...that's how rumors get started. LOL

You pay the father or was it ordered for him not pay anything because of the formula.

Because we are not cordial, I have nothing to do with him. I pay them and they send me a check. I tried to reverse this for 5 years and just have nothing in place, but have been unsuccessful. Since I get the money back anyhow I stopped trying. Now after 15 years it’s just going to be this way.

They say he pays something, but to who...we don't get anything and then he would stop working and after college he moved to another state. They tell me the reason I get my money back is because he's paying. But then why do I have to pay in the first place!
