Question for yardies going through the AOS (which I'm preparing for shortly):

This part on the AOS guide has me concerned...

11. I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. (If you already have this from your overseas Visa Interview submit a copy that medical check form; No fee is required in this case. If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement (I-693A), not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your adjustment of status application.)

We did not get a 693 or 693A from mister's medical exam. The only thing they gave him was his blue vaccination card that he obtained from his elementary school. I'm wondering if this means I'll have to send him to a doctor (more MONEY....GREAT!!) to have them fill out the form for the AOS package. What did those of you who have done this or are doing this do?

i was worried about that too. we did not have a 693 or 693a either. i sent in the copy of his vaccination records....which he obtained at the medical exam because he didn't have any records prior to that. everything went thru....no rfe, and no interview...

the vaccination records from the medical exam were NOT on a 693

Thanks, Finesse! That's what I was thinking I would try. Just make a copy of the vaccination card with the ones they gave him at the exam and hope that it passed for their purposes. I guess the worst they could do is send an RFE.

That's what I did too and same results....approved with no interview.

I always suggest trying that. If they want more, then you have to go through another exam....or pay that one doctor everyone suggests to fill in the paperwork. Don't spend the money till they make you though. You might just get lucky.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Louis had one of those blue cards too, then at the medical he got a couple shots, including Chicken Pox along with a note saying he had to get a 2nd shot here in the US. When he got here we got him the shot. So I sent in a copy of everything and prayed for no RFE. Worked! No RFE and no Interview... just the GC!

some of those posters in the off topic section are so rude

its hard to imagine these ppl with such bigoted and racist views marrying ppl from other countries

I agree.

Here's what I find is strange with people, esp on this website Digg that I'm always on. If the topic is racism, people are SO QUICK to be like "No! That's terrible! People who are racist suck." But let the topic be about something else and some of those same people are the ones making the most racist comments.

you can just tell them in a nice way that you and hubby gonna be doing something special with each other

smile, laugh, and gently push them out

i mean do they call before they come or do they just show up?

they just show up....sometimes they wait for us to get home from work and walk up the steps with us

 da f@ck?!

no man is like dem did a wait fi onoo invite dem over fi tek a set

are they at least brining their own food?

either way, you need to nip it in the bud

you can start by you and hubby going out one night till late to sort of send them a message

or just say yo yuh feel sick, yuh head a hot yuh so you need some alone time

they bring all type a #######...food, beer, liquor, music, kids, pets..... sometimes it is fun but the fun is now turning into getting on my nerves..

They DO NOT bring pets and their kids???? Tell me you’re lying?? Wow!!!

I guess the saying its true BE CAREFUL what you ask for. See you wanted hubby to get out and mingle with the neighbors and now you can’t get rid of them.

Man I would say you must have had one slamming rass party because it sounds like the neighbors are trying to get it started again.

Well ladies I guess for Labor Day party at Finesse’s house. I'm bringing the chips and dip what are you all bringing??
