Will telling someone to STFU get you kick off VJ?

Some of the other thread get a little out of the hand. I will try to stay out of them for a while. Whew...I wanted to go off today. But it is too early Mrs. Buggy.

KK.... so early in the morning?? LOL

But i doubt it will... worse things have been said

There was a letter from Captain Ewok to members last week... basically stating that while it's okay to be rude in the Off Topic section, you shouldn't be rude in the advice sections.

I think Nat is in need of some rompin shop -

:innocent:

Is that rude to tell someone to STFU?

Hahaha...I like typing that..

You know all this time I just knew his dad was jamaican. You son is so proud of his Jamaican culture. That's awesome. I wonder how my kids are going to take it being of 1/2 jamaican blood. Although, my hubby says if you are born here..you're American..and can't claim yourself as Jamaica. Is that true?

In the eyes of the majority of Jamaicans I know, the child will never be considered Jamaican unless they spend some serious time down there.

Was discussing this with a Cuban friend of mine. She says as longs as one fo your parents is Cuban, you are Cuban no matter where you are born. In my experience, as long as you weren't born in Jamaica, your whole lineage could be Jamaican, you aren't.

While I wasn't born in Jamaica, I lived there from 7 until 19. Even that is sometimes not enough for some people to consider me Jamaican UNTIL I talk to them for a while lol....I never say I'm Jamaican though, I'll say I grew up there.

When my husband finishes hiseducation degree (unless he changes his mind again) we are plan to spend are summers in Jamaica with our little one so that she can learn the culture. So that would be roughly a little over 2 1/2 months. We plan to spend every other Christmas down there. This year she is going for Christmas and we will have both sides of the family together. But we understand that she won't remember. I know these trips won't make her a true Jamaican.

Side note: I am not proud of this but our babies first word besides moma and dada was bomboclat. My husband friend was here at the begin of summer and she learned it from him. LOL

Oh I love those Jamerican outfits they have a ton on that site. B)

wow Mrs. B; I believe yah, same thing happened with my son when he was a baby...I had a habit of saying BAXIDE -- if I drop something or forget something that's the first word out of my mouth -- they soak up what they hear very quickly.

Saw that you stayed at christarvillas in the past loved it there

yeah, they left. hubby was really getting sick of them (not one person in particular just people in general) so he just told whoever wanted to come over last night we had to go somewhere. he thought i was the one that liked all the company and was just waiting for me to say something. he has been ready for peace and quiet lang time....

see how important communication is? i was ready to get ignorant a few days ago...

Yeah it was nice at Christarvillas. The food was good to we ate up at the dinning area. We don't like to cook. Thinking of cooking it's my hubbys day. :D yippee.

Yeah they pick things up quick and she is way smarter at 14 months than we think. We started laughing so hard when she said it because we were in dis-belief.

I'm pretty sure I said that to someone on here before. It is one of my favorite phrases.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
