The winner gets $1 million JMD (approx $11,500 USD) and some studio time.

Not to rant too much but I really think Rising Stars is shady for how they do the contestants. I guess I'm used to American Idol, where you get to live in a house & have all this star treatment while you perform. You also get paid for each episode you're on. With Rising Stars, there is no special place the contestants go. Every weekend, Tia's family has the responsibility of getting her from Negril to Kingston for the show's filming. They don't even pay for the contestants to get to Kingston.

Hello Yardies !! its been awhile but my computer crashed 2 weeks before i went to Jamaica..and i havent been able to use the internet since then. Anyways i went to Ja had a great time and now i'm missing my boo like crazy..i'm using a friends computer so i'm just popping in to say HI and that i hope everyone is doing well ..i'll have to catch up abother time..but so far i read the last few pages and ..

Nat- That's not a bad prize, but I can't believe they can't even give them a ride. I'm sure they are making so much money off of these performances. How old is Tia? She really is a good performer. I love her confidence.

Tia is 17. She's been performing for years. Her parents have a band (www.theovertakers.com) and her older sister, Crystal Axe, is a singer in Germany. I think Tia looks a lot like Crystal.

Morning all! I am not awake yet - I am working from home today, and normally I am up early - I was dead asleep until the garage door opened - probably could have slept till 11 or so!

Got home around 2 am from the reggae show = long day, but a good one. I have a ton of pics, when I get them downloaded - Frankie Paul, Culture, and Beres were excellent!

Good Morning everyone. I haven't been up this early in a long time. I woke up because I had a dream I was back at work...but I was sitting in the rocking stadium chairs at the movie theater. I was rocking back and forth and crying. Then I laid on the floor and asked for pillows because my neck and back were hurting so bad. I wake up to find out I was dreaming about the actual pain I'm in right now. My entire right arm hurts too. I need a camera to record me sleeping. I have to be doing something wrong in my sleep. Why do I wake up in so much pain?

Nat...I sent a text...but how long can you vote? Is it two hours like with American Idol? I almost didn't vote because of the time...but I said what the heck.
