What is SJG??

I have never stayed at an all inclusive... I can't stand the way they treat the people.

I think it would be nice to have all you can eat and drink, but I can't get past the harassment of Jamaican's I have witnessed....

Granted there are people in Jamaica to watch out for, but they make it seem like the island full of bad people

Sunset Jamaica Grande in Ochi - I won at the casino, so I thought it would be a nice splurge for us -

The other AI I have stayed at was Royal DeCameron in Mo Bay - that I liked, and the staff were great - although the men are a little TOO aggressive - total disregard that I was with DJ

:ot: Question? I was just talking with a friend who is fairly new in considering the visa process and she told me that she was talking with her SO and doing some research and learned that as an option he could pay like $2500US and get a visa from Jamaica to come here. She first started explaining the K1 process and I confirmed that from what I have learned so far the info she had on that part was true. But then she said if you did not want to get married then your SO could pay the $2500US to some place in Jamaica and file over there and receive their visa to travel here???? I told her I have never heard of that unless she was talking about the Tourists/Visitors visa, but they were a luck of the draw and kind of hard to get approved. But she said no they could pay the money and get the visa from Jamaica. Has anyone ever heard of this? I told her to find out more and let me know everything but I was just wondering has anyone on here ever heard of this and could enlighten me.

:ot2:

Tell her to please be careful with this one. You can pay for virtually anything if the price is right. Sounds like an illegal 10 year visitors visa. Some get through fine...others not so lucky. If he gets caught using it...it is a lifetime ban.

A had a work visa for Canada and it was no where near that expensive. He paid around $250 US for his application.

:ot: I drank 1/4 of a cup of "herb"tea. It was not that bad. Hubby sweetened it with some condensed milk. Who ever drank this kinda tea b4 :ot2:

Not sure about "herb" tea...but I love my tea sweetened with condensed milk...especially peppermint. YUMMY!!!

I am rolling...Jonesie asked me what was so funny...so I told her what you all were talking about...she started laughing and said her husband is the same way. She said on his 1st Christmas here, the song Feliz Navidad came on and he was singing to the top of his lungs "Police nyam mi dawg"...she said the whole family stopped and looked at him...then they all burst out laughing when they found out what "nyam" meant.

LMAO!!!!! I needed this laugh today....oh boy did I ever need it.

Going back to catch up.

Digicel Jamaica DOUBLE BUBBLE on all top ups this Saturday, July 18th 2009!!!!

For example if you send a US$10 top up to a Digicel Jamaica subscriber from www.ezetop.com, the Digicel subscriber in Jamaica will then receive a second US$10 top up for free.

That's $20 in airtime for the price of $10!!!!

Andrea......if he comes up soon, can he get his job back on the island? That would be sort of cool.

they treat Jamaicans like $hit because they know they won't get the same "warm" treatment (money, connections to go a farrin, etc)

so there is no benefit to being nice to jamaicans

I remember when I went to Jamaica I could not utter a word when we were at the shops cuz they knew how to rip off forieners, my hubby did all the talking. They did treat my hubby different than me!

Damien just called El Greco to get a room rate and they quoated him $97. I called back 2 minutes later and they quote me $130  That's a big difference.

Congrats Justuica.

Yes, employees - We were there last Sept - I just was shocked at how blatant some of the employees were - Even one night I was walking down the path with DJ and one security cut between us and blocked me from walking - I ripped on him, that if I am with my man - what would make you think I want to talk to you? Even if I weren't with my man - do you honestly think I would be attracted?
