I found this post when browsing in the Site Discussion area...

Thanks for the link!

After seeing how many posts it takes to get a bunch of squares, I give up! I hope I'm through this process before getting past senior member.

sus ur right, but then again.. kids also can be the cruelest ppl on Earth.. differences can be exciting or reasons for them to exclude u..

I think that happens especially to kids who aren't used to diversity (of skin tone, of thought processes). When I can have children, we will definitely travel so that they can be exposed to a variety of people... that is, if we can afford to since Steven wants 8 children.

Never going to catch up but was browsing through and saw this - Nat, you should join the foreign service so you can live in different countries on the gov'ment dime and expose your 8 kids to the world...great career.

sus i'm jealous of you

congrats JaEnglish

My company normally gives two weeks to start - I haggled it before I accepted the job - My manager was laughing when I got hired, told me she wished she had thought of that!

Morning, all.

Happy Anniversary, JaEng. I LOVE chocolate covered strawberries, esp the ones covered in pink chocolate.

Shemmy, that's something to think about... even though I have no desire to have 8 kids.

Sus, what! I hit 5 years last week, but that means I get 3 weeks of vacation instead of 2. I'd need to be with the company 20 years to get 5 weeks.

I just realized that as of October, I hit my 5 year mark here and will have 5 weeks of vacation per year!

Our companies seem to have the same policies. It’ll be 5 years for me in September and I would have had 5 weeks too.

My company policy starts off at two weeks, you get an additional week at 5 years. But, before I accepted the job, I haggled my vacation, that I had 5 weeks at my current job and couldn't go back to only two - They have a flex time option where you can purchase a week of time - Then I haggled with them that if they gave me 4 weeks, and I bought a week, I would have the same amount of time - So now, I get my additional week, giving me 5 - 6 if I buy one!
