Schedule C with offical tax transcripts?

My wife arrived on a K-1 and we're filing for AOS. I have a question about tax documents... I filed as self-employed on my 2008 return, and am planning on sending in my official IRS tax transcripts rather than the return itself. The I-864 instructions say those who are self-employed must include their Schedule C, but I'm wondering if this is still necessary when using tax transcripts. Does anybody know? (It appears some information about my Schedule C already appears on the tax transcripts, but I know how particular the USCIS can be).

Another question... Instead of one check for $1010, we have two separate checks totaling that amount- one for $930 for AOS, and another for $80 for the biometrics fee. Do you think they'll accept this? They are cashier's checks from a relative's bank, so I'm hoping to not have to change them unless it's really necessary.

Make sure the transcripts include all supporting Shedules and Forms, including Schedule C. If you filed the return electronically, you would not be able to show copies of a signed return, would you?

In my case, I made photocopies of the signed returns and turned those in with the I-864. Being self-employed, that seems to work the best for me, rather than file electronically.

I didn't file electronically. When you say, "Make sure the transcripts include all supporting Shedules and Forms, including Schedule C."... Do you mean to make sure information on all supporting Schedules/Forms/Schedule C is printed on the actual transcripts themselves? Or, do you mean make sure to include photocopies of the actual Schedules/Forms/Schedule C and submit them in addition to the transcripts?

Anyone else is welcome to comment as well, both on the above/first question, and on my second question regarding the separate checks.

The IRS transcripts should have all the info you sent them - get those and you should be covered.

If you call them, they can fax them over to you within minutes.

On the check thing - seems the course now is to provide seperate checks (but i have seen posts stating they sent one with no issues)

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
