Hi VJers,

My wife and I just got married on June 19th (YAY! :D ) and are filling out the forms required for the CR-1. On the I-130, question 21 asks to list our last address where we lived to together. Unfortunately, we have yet to live together so my question is will this hurt our application? Secondly, the G-325 asks for an alien registration number. I don't have one. Do I leave this blank?

Thanks for the help all. Super excited to start the process and looking forward to being reunited with my hunny!

No, it won't hurt you that you haven't lived together yet. Plenty of us newlyweds haven't.

And yes leave it blank- you'll get an A number once your petitions are approved.

And congrats! :)

Based on my research I came to the conclusion it is a mistake to leave any field blank. In the case of g-325a alien registration number, I put "N/A" for myself because I am a US Citizen and will never have one. For my wife, I put "None" as she does not currently have one, but will some day. There are a lot of people with a lot of opinions about when to use N/A versus None. You should use the one that makes sense to you after you research it. But I wouldn't recommend leaving the (or any) field blank.

I left it blank on mine and it was accepted without issue. I guess it comes down to your adjudicating officer.

The I-130 form I used the address we spent together in the PI... Was for only a few days....

My G-325 I put N/A...

Normally you do not want to leave items blank. Use N/A, None. And if the space is not enough

make an addendum sheet and put the information there.

Example:

G-325a Completed by USC - Addendum

This form is submitted in connection with an application for:

I-130/K3 PETITION FOR ALIEN RELATIVE

Regards,
