BC Typo.........

My fiancee's BC has a typo on it. The name of her father was spelled incorrectly by a midwife. The Civil Registrar had crossed through and handwritten the correction on her BC. We have a certified letter from the local Civil Registrar that the correction was done in good faith by the Civil Registrar at that time. We also have a certified letter from the current Civil Registrar showing that the correct information (Dad's name) is reflected in the Civil Registry for live births. Do you think we will be ok with these certified letters? Or should we try and do something else to try and get it corrected?

Sorry posted this in the wrong section. Don't know how I keep doing that.

I think these certified letters will definelty help prove your point. I don't think you will have a problem. Do you have a copy or origional of the dad's BC that could be added as proof? If all the other info on the dad is the same, like his signature etc. then the mess up on the name should be even more obvious. Just an extra thought.

Didn't think of a copy of Dad's BC. Great idea. Thanks
