Question about I-130 ( last entry questions )

I was filling out I-130 just now, and it asked the las entry information. "you entered as..." and "it expires until.....on I-94"

I last entered in U.S on L-2 visa 8/20/2005, on I-94 says it expires 10/20/2005. I changed to F-1 in college right before 10/20/2005, and got a new I-94. My F-1 status expires on 12/31/2009.

what should I answer those two questions? If I put entered on L-2 and expires on 10/20/2005, they will think I was overstay. I mean I got a new I-94, should I just go with that?

You should put the status of your current visa/I-94

and on my new I-94, there is no expiration date, because I changed my status to F-1 here, and never apply for F-1 visa stamp.

Most student visas are "D/S" = duration of status. As long as your F-1 status is valid, your I-94 is.

You still have the paperwork/visa for the F-1?

I would perhaps contact USCIS via InfoPass to verify your status and get the answers you need (that is, if someone here can't share)
