Hi everyone,

I am in the last stage of getting my case complete. Last night I try to sign in to NVC online payment and it gave me the error message about that "your case need no further processing etc". Is that a good sign. and AVR system is telling me that there is a document missing.

I also called NVC and the operator told me that my wife needs to bring the police certificate at the time of interview. Even though, I have sent the original police certificate with DS-230. I am not sure why NVC asking for police certificate at the interview. Operator also told me that my case will be completed soon. I believe I will be getting an email soon about my case status.

If anybody likes to comment or have the same situation, please advise.

Thank you all, Best of Luck!!!!

I got the same problem. The thing is that we did not need to send the original Police Report, but I did not know that either. Just get a new PCC before the interview. Pm me if u have any concern. Good luck!

If you already paid your AOS and IV fee bills, you have nothing more to do at the NVC online payment site.

The AVR message saying there is a missing document can mean one of several things: a) the NVC got the AOS before the DS-230, or it was the other way around; B) you forgot to include a document or else an NVC person dropped it while opening your package; c) the NVC has all your docs and the AVR just hasn't been updated yet.

We learned, as all other VJ'ers here, that the AVR can be VERY misleading and inaccurate. That's why you want to get a human operator there as much as possible. NVC gets flooded often and they don't have time to update the system.

Regarding PCC: Wait for your interview appointment letter. That letter will have a checklist of ALL documents needed for your case. A code will indicate which docs have already been recieved, which were originals, which were incomplete, which need to be submitted to the embassy, etc. Check what it says about the police clearance. If the letter says the NVC has it already, you shouldn't have to bring another copy for the interview. That was my experience. But the policy may differ for your country. So just do as you're told by the interview letter.

If operator says your case is in "final review," get ready. The magic words "case complete" will be coming soon! :)

SHAM77, I would say just talk to one of the NVC specialists and they should be able to tell you what exactly the status is of your case.

Hi everyone,

My case got completed today.!! Thanks Allah and everyone on VJ.

Can someone please tell me when they will ship the case to the embassy and also when will i get an email for the interview letter.

Another issue is that I called the NVC and operator confirmed that my case is completed but my wife needs to bring the original police certificate. I explained the operator that I have sent the originals with DS-230, but she said that those were not originals instead those were copies. I also checked my paperwork but I have copies with me which I did before sending originals. It seems that I may have to get new Police reports.

Thank you everyone for your help. Best of Luck.
