What my fiance and I did was to write we've met online and started chatting and e-mailing each other till we finally decided to meet in person. Just tell your story in few words. Give some details, like dates and such. You're also asked to send out evidence of having met, such as airplane tickets, hotel reservations (if any), pictures of you guys together.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

I used the sample used on this page: http://www.kheryn.com/k1/i129fattach.html

I originally met Daniel Kelly in an online game called Terris on AOL in late 1996. Although we e-mailed each other occasionally during the months after that, we started corresponding in earnest over the summer of 1997. By the end of that year, we had decided we would like to meet each other in person.

On December 26, 1997, Daniel flew from London to Atlanta to meet me at my parents' residence. It was a short visit, but we felt very comfortable with each other and knew that we wanted to continue to get to know each other. He also visited me at the same location during my Spring Break the following March.

In order to further our relationship, I spent the summer of 1998 with Daniel. I obtained a work permit through the BUNAC program (www.bunac.org), which enables full-time American students to work in the United Kingdom for up to six months. During this time, I stayed in a spare bedroom in the house where Daniel and his brother Jason live. Near the end of my stay, August 30, 1998, Daniel proposed to me and I accepted.

In the ensuing two years, we have visited each other as often as finances and my student schedule have allowed. To summarize, in the approximately three years since the first visit, Daniel and I have visited each other ten times, as follows:

long list

of all of our visits

with dates

and who visited who

etc

etc

You only need this extra page if you can not fit the info into the very small box on the I-129F form. I added a supplement sheet which simply followed the sample form from VisaJourney and clearly stated how and when we met including specific dates and locations.

Most important is you MUST remember to SIGN and DATE this additional sheet and title it with the following information:

I-129F Supplement: Part B, Question 18, explanation of meeting in person

It was much easier to attach this supplement sheet to the I-129 than tyoe it in the box. If you want to know more just PM me.

What they are asking for is a summery of when you and your fiancee met in person within the past two years and the circumstances surrounding it. Mine began by saying how and when we met online, fell in love, and when I first proposed. Then I gave the dates I visited my fiancee and recapped the things we did and a few of her friends and family members I met and how meeting her confirmed and strengthened the love we felt. Hope this helps.

All I wrote was "We met at a restaurant in Germany while I was on vacation with a friend" on the form. I attached a 'story' (similar to what's in my profile) of the long version....

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
