Hi Guys,

Just received my approval letter :thumbs:

They said that I will receive the new card within 60 days.

How does it work if I need to travel abroad before receiving it? Still need to bring my extension letter?

Approval letter for me dated 11/7, still no GC in mail, status on line still has last touch of 7/24/09 go figure :lol:

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Applied 5/2007 Approved GC in Hand 10/2007
I-751 mailed 6/30/09 aapproved 11/7/09 The BOYS I-751 Mailed 12/29/09 3/23/10 Email approval for 17 CR 3/27/10
4/14/10 Email approval for 13 yr Old CR 4/23/10

Oldest son now 21 I-130 filed by LPR dad ( as per NVC CSPA is applying here )
I-130 approved 2/24
Priority date 12/6/2007
4/6/2010 letter from NVC arrives to son dated 3/4/2010
5/4/10 received AOS and DS3032 via email
9/22/10 Interview BOG Passed
10/3/10 POE JFK all went well
11/11/10 GC Received smile.png

my status online still reads last touch from July as well. Still no GC in the mail or any emails about my approval. I am leaving the country tomorrow so I did an infopass and got my passport stamped. Do you think I still need to carry my extension letter and or my approval letter with me or is the stamp in my book good enough?

my status online still reads last touch from July as well. Still no GC in the mail or any emails about my approval. I am leaving the country tomorrow so I did an infopass and got my passport stamped. Do you think I still need to carry my extension letter and or my approval letter with me or is the stamp in my book good enough?

I think stamp is good enough.But it is not a big deal to take one sheet of paper just in case.I would take everything I have with me.

Hi guys!

I just received my approval letter today from VSC! Date of approval : 11/16/2009 :dance:

Only one thing upsets me.... I found the envelope torn( one corner missing), wrinkled and dirty...shoe marks on it....The letter also misses a portion which was ripped out when ,whoever did this, torn the corner of the envelope.

Yes, I'd bring the extension letter, as well as the approval letter.

That's interesting. Usually they don't give you a stamp if you have an extension letter. I've been in and out of the country a few times just carrying that (and the gc) and I never had any difficulty.

11/7 - arrived in USA, POE YFK

1/19 - Married

02/23/2007 - Civil Surgeon (checked just vaccines for $ 25)

05/04/2007 - AOS package sent to Chicago

05/11/2007 - NOA1

05/15/2007 - NOA2 - ASC appointment letter about biometrics

05/24/2007 - RFE about tax forms w-2 and 1099!!!

06/05/2007 - Biometrics

21/06/2007 - NOA3 - Transfered to California
