Most definitely. It sucks big time to be seen as inferior because you don't have kids. I always hated people who asked - so, when are you going to have kids?

Never ran into that experience but I know others have. I'm not sure why people without kids feel the need to vent and justify their decision not to have kids. If I don't have to pay for kid's education or deal with your brats then I don't feel the need to shove my kid in your face.

Having a baby is not all fun and easy anyway. I have a headache and lots of messes to clean up. I am glad to have him, I wanted to have kids, but hey don't have them if you already have issues about it. Although if you have one anyway unplanned, like Staashi mentioned, prepare to have your heart melted with baby love. Hah!!

But back to topic: I don't feel the need to justify ####### about my life choices. And I am quite vocal when people who have kids try to push motherhood as the ultimate accomplishment of any woman. #######, really.

You want to have kids? Cool. Have them and hopefully love them and educate them. Good for you. Just don't ask people to be immediately enthused to hear about pregnancy, nursing, teething, kindergarten, high school prom, etc. If I longed for that kind of conversation, I would have a kid.

Yes, there are women on VJ who have lost babies, but if you've read threads where they've told VJ members about it, you'll see that the very same women posting in here offer their support and condolences.

Just cause we are not fond of children ourselves does NOT mean that we wish miscarriage on another.

I don't think thread is intended to insult those who have lost children, but it's not like Mawilson is the face of kindness on VJ either. And also the baby thread is definitely not intended to disrespect people who can't have kids, that's just an argument to justify this thread. That's like saying every immigration topic is disrespectful to people who had denied visas. It hurts to read maybe, but it's not disrespectful. Mawilson's initial post is purposely "out there" adding in "for those who think babies are retarded, or hate them...etc". Still I don't think it's intended to purposely insult ppl who lost children, but yes it may hurt to see either thread in that case.

I am not whining... just turning the tables on you... and no, I have never clicked on baby corner. Why? Because I could care ####### less about babies, that's why. If people choose to reproduce, good for them. Kudos. I choose not to. And it is still my damn choice. No, not everyone loves babies or wants to hear about little billy's latest frog jump. Deal.
