And Joyce is reformed.

Hey now, my position hasn't changed since I've become a humanoid host! In fact, now I'm even more annoyed by nosy, all-knowing parent types because I'm getting tons of unsolicited advice. I've decided not to talk about baby care at all to people who have older kids, because the first person who says, "Oh I remember those days" is getting kicked in the teeth. "Get your sleep now" is a favorite to sling at third-trimester chicks too (I'm at 30 weeks now). For the first time in my life, I'm having trouble sleeping. So they can #### off. People are already asking me if we want another, and the kid isn't even here yet! And I'm old! They can #### off too.

I'll help you practice your ammunition.

"Just wait til she's here. Then the fun begins!"

"Enjoy your last few nights before the baby's here!"

"Your life will never be the same again.."

"My advice: Take the drugs!"

"You'll never experience any love like it.."

"You say you don't want any more, but you'll change your mind."

"Get ready to have everything turn upside down!"

ETC ETC ETC

By the way, I might have just been offered a job researching depressed mums-to-be, and the effects on the infant. Sounds interesting, but then they told me that it involves being on call during the night in case they go into labor. Then I have to go to the hospital and within 2 hours of delivery, take samples of yucky stuff.

...

It's a good thing I'm desperate for work!!

Still child free, and every day cements our decision even more because we do a lot of stuff like going out on week days or hurrying out the door in the mornings that make just getting the cats with a fresh scoop of food a hassle, let alone trying to bathe/dress/feed a kid!

plus, I'd have to learn to be tidy. I'd hate that.
