 To those of you who believe you'll be childless forever - never say never. I would like to interject one thought here...many of your wives (or if you're the wife), you might someday get pregnant as more than 50% of all pregnancies are unplanned...some of you will decide not to go through with the pregnancy and some of you will...thus, you might find that you're part of the huge group of people who actually thought they'd be childless forever...of which I was a member of that club.

In short, the people who shouldn't have kids or so many kids are pumping out the babies while you see well-off people spending most of their time on their dogs or cats.

Go rent that movie Idiocracy to see what the world will turn into thanks to this little truth of life right here.

For me, the very idea of being pregnant just kind of turns my stomach. It conjures up ideas of a parasite or an alien inside me. And I have no desire to take care of something that's just going to lay there and scream and poop for months to years. Not all women are just dying to be mothers. If I were some other kind of animal I'd probably be one of those that ate their young.

I love you.

Yup --- not all women see their goal in life to reproduce. And that is perfectly fine. Being looked upon by breeders like some sort deficient being because I don't have children is plainly fvcked up and arrogant on their part. And it happens a lot.

Most definitely. It sucks big time to be seen as inferior because you don't have kids. I always hated people who asked - so, when are you going to have kids? Ummmmm well - who knows. I always say that the little embryo that was Enzo must have been some type of Houdini-like escape artist, because I sure don't know how he happened while being on BC.

*waiting for paty and mags*

*raises hand*

Present.

I just can't get excited about babies. I'm happy for people who have just had them, but to be honest I'd rather just have another cat, myself.

I rarely find them cute and I do not EVER want to hold them. I find them a waste of my time.

Luckily I married a man with the same POV!!

If Platy ever said he wanted a child I'd divorce him.

And get another cat.

Exactly!

Two days ago I went to see Transformers and in front of me in the line were a mother, with 4 kids. The older was around 4 the younger about 3 months. The movie started at 11:30 pm.

I went to the cinema to see Drag Me To Hell (not my choice, it was my friend's, I'm thinking of not liking her anymore cause of her poor taste in films) and there was a couple with a newborn in there.

Would like to know how many of those 50% weren't taking any sort of proactive action to avoid it either. :P

Edit: read your next post. Would go through with it too if we were amongst those few.

I just clicked on it. TBH, I just figured it was one of those "Praise Jesus, for my children" movies out of hand and did not even bother. Off to watch now.

But mine is 15 and has decided he wants to kill people and be a sniper when he leaves school.

That's something to be proud of - my boy hates people as much as I do!

My work here is done as a mother! I can't teach him anything else! :(
