I'd rather see one in a bar than sitting next to me on a L.A. to London flight :hehe:

My plastic surgeon owns a great spa :)

Now...wait a second. I thought you don't have kids so who the heck ruined your body that you need a plastic surgeon?

and a child at a BAR??? Where the heck do you people hang out?

A little nip and tuck here and there is great for everyone. I gained and then lost a lot of weight from taking steroids for a back problem. I had loose skin on my arms. I had an arm lift in March.

See that movie Sweet Home Alabama? There's a girl with a baby in the bar with her in that

I have sat next to some wonderful and charming babies on LAX-LHR flights (some crying, but not worse than the whining of adult passengers)............usually they are accompanied by charming and considerate parents. In other words, not the type of parents who would take their baby to a bar.

Honestly, other people's kids get on my nerves when they cry in the airplane. One mom had her baby einstein DVD so loud that she entertained the entire airplane with the ABCs while her daughter didn't even care but screamed halfway through the flight.

But at least when a baby starts screaming you can leave the bar...... on a plane, you're trapped.

Honestly...I have kids...I pick neither! :P A long flight overseas (that is not red eye) is killer w/ children and I have them. Red eye flights rock...everyone gets to snooze including any annoying adults that yap tooooo much and/or blast their iPods so I can listen to their ####### music and children that kick seats (i wanna kick your parents) or the constant (every 30 minute) "bathroom trip" grandma/grandpa. #######...where a diaper!!! :P

And I have seen parents here bring kids to adult social events, outdoor bar/cantina places and TGIFriday type places in the bar area as well. It's not only annoying...I think its horrible to do to a child and selfish. Children do change your life so either get a sitter or don't go.

Lastly, why would someone bring a child to a relaxing spa? Aren't you there to relax and get a little "me" time? Geezz.

Gawwwddd....and don't get me started on bringing an infant/children to an interview!!!!!!!!! Really?!? You couldn't find a sitter for this 1 hour? When I worked as a recruiter this was actually an issue for us...crazy.:wacko:

People that are annoyed by children...most of the time, there is a reason (other than the hateful bitter ones) seeing that the above issues would cause me to be a bit child "unfriendly" too.:blink::angry:

Sigh. That's what I don't understand -- if it is really clear that a situation is adults-only, why do some parents insist that somehow the rules don't apply to them? I'm not asking parents to put their whole lives on hold, but if you want to do something that is clearly for adults, why not get a sitter?

ITA!

Ironically, as I'm reading this thread...my children are arguing with me. It goes a little like this:

Son: Why do you have to sit so close to me?

Daughter: I'm not. You're sitting close to me.

*bicker in this manner for 2 minutes*

Mom: Why don't you just scoot apart? Our couch is huge.

Pause

Mom: B, don't you need to practice violin?

Daughter: yes

Son: yeah...go practice violin so I can have some room.

Daughter: FINE!

Heavy sighs all around.

Yeah, pre-teens and teens are definitely worse than babies.

sometimes it's the teenagers that are the worst

I saw an 18 year old (ish) girl THROW herself around in her airplane seat (and run the seat back back and forth) for the sole purpose of pissing off the guy behind her - I know because after a few minutes she got on her knees to turn around and glare/smile evilly at him. I swear, if I had not seen it myself, I wouldn't have believed there were people in the world like that.

The icing: Her mother/aunt/older sister with her actually smiled indulgently, like it was cute that she was being a brat worthy of capital punishment.
