You know, that's so weird. My children never cried. They just said (from a frighteningly early age) "Dear Mum, if you please, may I have the breast (or bottle)? Thank you, dear." Then they quietly went back to reading Shakespeare until such time as they were fed.

Clearly some people just don't know how to train their kids.

edited to add: does not make me ill, but tremendously annoys me and makes me wonder why the FFF they don't stfu.

Well, you just described me as a baby. My mother has a distinct memory of looking down at me (aged 8 months) in my crib, making goo goo noises, and I apparently sighed and rolled my eyes, then gave her a look that seemed to say, "Oh, that poor woman. How can she make such inane noises and assume that's what language I speak?"

Yes, I was a robot baby, it's true.

I am, for now, on the anti-baby wagon. Seeing as I am marrying a Japanese person and in Japan 'marriage' is also a secret code word for 'make babies', we'll see how this is going to work out. I told him that he can have a horse instead. Anybody would want a horse more than a baby, right? I mean... they can run faster and all. And you can't ride your baby.

Those of you with well-trained children are fine. The thing that I can't stand is people, especially on airplanes (I think we have one of them here, hello to you), who think that they should get special treatment because they have children. This one lady on the last international flight I was on kept beeping the stewardess and I heard her say, "I HAVE A CHILD. BLA BLA BLA GIVE ME SPECIAL TREATMENT". I wish that stewardesses were allowed to slap those people because it looked like the stewardess really wanted to. Being family friendly is one thing, but getting special treatment because you can't keep your thighs shut or afford condoms is another. Jeebus.

that's what i do, now that nessa made me take down the clothesline after she caught me hanging him onto that and using the water hose to wash him off.

Last time I went from Germany to Texas (with the kids) and there was a lady on the window aisle who changed her 1year old's $hitty diaper. My brother and his girlfriend (no kids) sat behind her and got all green in their faces. I felt sorry for them. They looked like they were going to suffocate in there .

I didn't say that is was humorous. I thought the fight for air was rather funny but only because it was my brother and I know him well. I totally agree that she should have changed the diaper in the bathroom.
