Unfortunately, the converse relationship between the educational attainment of the mother the number of offspring. Less educated women tend to have more kids in their lifetime compared to highly educated women. Then there's the obvious tie-in of higher incomes going to people with higher levels of education.

In short, the people who shouldn't have kids or so many kids are pumping out the babies while you see well-off people spending most of their time on their dogs or cats.

Yep It's sad as we have a mass production of the dumber than dumb!

Well, somebody's gotta keep world population balanced, right?

Oh well, maybe some of you no-baby-wanters don't know how to use birth control right.

How the hell have I missed this thread? Sign me up to the she-woman baby-haterz club. :star: I do enjoy babies in small doses, but I couldn't eat a whole one.

My parents (my mom in particular) has finally come around to the idea that my oven will not be producing any buns. Part of my falling out with my brother was his inability to understand why we had chosen not to have kids -- my ex and I had discussed it many times, but thank god we never went through with it. My brother saw this as a sign that I had been brainwashed by my baby-hating new husband, and that I was now going to live an unfulfilled life without children. The opposite has been true -- since I came out as a childless by choice person, I have felt more liberated and less anxious about the future. I always knew I wanted to have a career, but I could never figure out how to do that with children without seriously fcking up the kids.

However, I get harangues from friends and strangers (seemingly every nail technician I've met in the past year has given me a lecture about how I'm ruining my life by not having kids alongside my mani/pedi) at nearly every turn. I'm sorry, I do like kids, I adore my nephews, I like my friends' kids, but I do not want any of my own. Why is this so offensive to some people? Not everyone has the parent chip installed.

If you don't want kids, that's cool, I don't think it's for everyone. But baby/ mommy haters, that's just wrong

Caro@ I love your 4d, it's so cute!!! I regrest not having one when I was pregnant, well maybe with my second baby, Hubby used to say thta we will get pregnant again right away but now he changed his mind, he wants to enjoy our little Sofia, maybe in two more years.

sister Caro -- I don't hate babies - though some mommies do drive me bonkers. I do find obnoxious when people think that EVERYONE just relishes talking about babies, or kids, or teething or play dates. :dead:

Some -note, some- women cease to be anything BUT mothers when they give birth. I think that's sad, and it takes away so much from that child, to see a uni-dimensional person as a mother. Just my .02
