I don't think life stops after having kids. I would love to have at least one kid in a few years and I do plan to keep on travelling even after having kids.

True, but children add a certain layer of complication to traveling. It's also expensive when they very quickly grow out of the infant fares. My kid has been flying as a full-fare adult since she was the ripe old age of 12 months.

@ diaper comments: I still gag and want to vomit when I have to change them. Being a Mom did NOT change that for me! :P I hate diapers!!

seriously? i have no problems at all. it's not that stinky in the first place

I didn't think it got bad until it was solid-based poop (around 13-14 months for my kid). Then, when they get that special age, be prepared for them to dig for gold when you least expect it and smear it all over the wall. Now that is a smell that takes awhile to clear.

I thought infant poop smelled a lot like...Chicken McNuggets.

OMG I'm seriously going to die if/when that happens! I plan on keeping them in long clothing, even in 100 degree weather so they can never reach for their diaper! :P JK I agree infant poop was really not that bad...after solid food its a nightmare. :D

Right now I'm dealing w/ my daughter (13 months) biting and then laughing a little evil laugh... She mostly bites her brother and leaves purple teeth marks with her powerful bite (a watch shape I tell ya! we learned she had two molars coming in with the last marks... ). My friends little daugher (8 yrs) told me she could cure her..."just bite her back everytime she does it." See, that's why people have kids...for their great ideas! :P

Yup and that's why its important to plan things ahead. We can't afford a kid right now, so we aren't having one right now. Even if somehow we win that million dollar lottery, I would still keep it to 1 kid for this lifetime. Its all about how you manage your life and the decisions you make.

Kids are cute though, even if they cry and all

If you are not ready to make changes to your life after having a child, then don't have the child. You cannot live your bachelor life after them anymore. If you rather hang out with adults and want to pursue a carreer, don't have a child...it's that easy. You will have to adjust. So, I'm glad most of the people here don't want to have children as they are probably not willing to make changes (and I'm not being pushy or anything. I totally understand..if you don't want kids, you just don't want them, that is completely fine with me).

As for poop. It doesn't smell good, neither does mine, I'm telling you. I'm sure lots of guys in the forum here have shared their poop smells with their SOs at some point and were rather proud of it (I see you grinning there behind your monitor  ). I don't ever stick my nose in a diaper why would I. Moms talk about poo in the beginning because you can see whether baby is fine or not...later on, it's not really a subject anymore.

AS for bringing the kids along to everything...maybe the who invites should clearly state not to bring children. Maybe it's just miscommunication or maybe the friend doesn't have money to pay for a sitter. Maybe she is just not ready to leave her child alone for a long period of time. Why so judgemental about it?

Agreed. Though I kjnow many moms who have careers... and quite successful ones.

I never go out with friends that bring their kids. Ever. Maybe because on weekends I am a barista at a toddler friendly cafe and get my baby fix there

Now, when in Mexico; I just relish in the company of the little ones of my cousins and my brother. And then I leave them all and their poop :P to their parents and come back to Seattle, and sleep in for like 3 days

OK, what's the sh1ttiest name anyone you know personally has named their kid?

my friend's baby is named Orly

Orly??? ####### is that

I dunno. I asked and she said she's named after her grandmother's Jewish name. I don't know anything else. Very cute baby though.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

Chalimidia.

0rly is a brand of nail polish.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
