Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone in MENA here has ever lived in Dallas or knows about what its like there. Is it any better than houston or about the same diversity wise, etc? We are thinking of moving there soon and taking a trip there to also see what it is really like. We want to live in a big city. My husband met a egyptian guy who loves dallas and said they have a large community of egyptians there but I dunno if that is true...we arent really searching for a large egyptian community but a place that is more diverse and young. Any thoughts? Thanks :)

I dont live there now but I grew up there and all my family is still there so we go a few times a year. There is a huge arab/muslim community all over the area - my husband has attended a couple of the big mosques there and was very pleased with them. We are looking towards relocating there as soon as employment and financial situations improve. Its super hot and humid in the summer but other than that I really like it - SO much to do :) PM me if you want more detailed info

I was born and raised in Austin we lived in Houston for a few years when I was child and I don't recommend it but I know there are several families on this forum living in that area so you wouldn't be alone. During my teens My Dad lived in North Richland Hills so I went to the Dallas/Fortworth area a lot and lived some of the summers there. I LOVE DALLAS! Great people, tons to do, and that's really great to hear about the Muslim community down there.
