Hello All,

Just a quick question about withdrawal letters. I've sent about 10 in the last 2 months, and i still havent heard anything from uscis. I've sent about 8 to Lee's Summit, MO (NBC) and 2 to the local chicago lockbox. Also, I've submitted copies to my local USCIS office and they have placed those in My ex's A file. How long does it usually take for an answer concerning my situation. My ex hasnt recieved green card of any sort yet, since we divorced only 90 days after submitting AOS.

Thank You

What, specifically, are you attempting to withdraw? Since the AOS application is not yours alone to withdraw, the only document that comes to mind is the Affidavit of Support. You may not get a notice acknowledging that this has been withdrawn. The alien will learn only too quickly, however, when the AOS is denied, due to not having an extant I-864 attached to it.

You are 100% right, I can only withdraw my I864, and thats what i have chosen to withdraw.

It seems that you have done your part sending in the withdrawl and making the InfoPass appointments. Now comes the time to let her AOS petition run its course. When it runs into the I-864 void then she is without alternatives. Try your best to be patient.

I would submit withdrawal letter wherever you file is currently located. It should be stated in last communication (I-797 maybe) that you received from them. You could contact local congress person and they can find out more for you. They usually have immigration liason that have direct line to USCIS offices.

Thats exactly what I have been doing, sending the withdrawals to where the I797 is coming from. I've been calling USCIS every week, and they still dont have any new info. They keep telling me to wait, and that she cant get her GC anymore. I guess we have to play the waiting game.

If your wife had changed the address at USCIS, they would probably send the Denial Notice to her at the new address.
