AOS package going in the mail today!

Well, thanks to all the wonderful information and help I've received on this site, our AOS (from F-1) package is going in the mail today. We are keeping our fingers crossed for smooth and expedited sailing. We really hope the AP comes through in time for a cruise we have at the end of October. And Ryan is very antsy to start working so hopefully the EAD will come through quickly as well. I feel a bit nervous about sending the package, worried I did something wrong or forgot something, but I'm pretty sure that I have not considering the wonderful guidance on this website.

I guess for now it's just a waiting game!

07/29/09 Received Notice of Interview Date, set for September 01, 2009 in Los Angeles

08/31/09 Received AP (two of them)

09/01/09 Interview in Los Angeles - APPROVED! Yay! Card production ordered

09/05/09 EAD received

09/12/09 Green card received in the mail!

Start to Finish only 76 days!

06/06/11 Mailed I-751 Package to California USCIS

06/09/11 First NOA for I-751

08/05/11 Biometrics appointment at USCIS Oxnard, CA office

10/19/11 Received email and text that card production was ordered

10/20/11 Received email and text that application had been approved

10/25/11 Received NOA in mail regarding approval and card production ordered

10/26/11 Received Green Card in the mail!

7/28 - Biometrics letter received, date- 8/23/2011

8/01 - Early Biometric was done

11/15 - Card Production ordered

11/19 - 10 years Green Card arrived.

Did you remember to sign the forms and the check?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

We did remember signatures and checks. I can easily see how this could be overlooked when you are dealing with so many pieces of paper and putting it all together. We did save signatures and checks for last but I can see if you are rattled or hurried these could be easily missed!

I certainly hope my lawyer signed the check ... and I think I remember signing all the forms while we were in their office earlier this month! Hehe... I paid them enough money...so they better have done it right. ;)
