I-864 Affadavit of support question

Quick question that has probably been asked before (but I couldn't find it in search treads).

I am getting ready to submit a I-864 aff. of support for soon-to-be wife's AOS.

Question relates to proof of income. My 2005 tax return shows insufficient income for support (i was student then). HOWEVER, since Oct. of 2005, i have had a permanent job that is well above poverty guidelines.

I will thus be including employment letter (with current salary info.) and recent paystubs. Will this be enough, given that my most recent tax returns show different status.

Maybe. Might depend in part on how comfortable the case officer is that the new job is really permanent - few jobs really are these days.
