may i ask though why it took so long?

I864 delivered November 2nd.....nvc logged it on November 5th

DS230 delivered November 6th.....nvc logged it on November 12th

Welcome to US Letter May 19th

Card production ordered May 25th

OMG, OMG, OM Glorious God! We've been approved after a turbulent journey that began in December 2007. I'm ssooo in shock - checked my email this morning and had an email from USCIS waiting there since Friday!

APPROVED - APPROVED! For all of you out there who have been or will be waiting long months, there is hope!

Any advice on which route I should take? I130 vs I129?

OMG too long time ... Hey nice to know that you are also from Saudi arabia in this journey . And CONGRATS

Congratulations! You were approved for the CR-1 or IR-1 petition, why are you asking for which route should you take? go for the route you're in right now cause you did not even apply for the I-129f/K3. May i know why it took that long to be approved for the NOA2?

Yeah i do not think you have a choice so you will have to go CR1 or the IR1.. I think C means conditional relative if marriage is under 2 years and I is immediate relative if marriage is over 2 years or is a relative. But even regardless you would want to go I130 route because your spouse can work and go to school and if something happens in the family overseas your spouse can travel back and forth with no problems. The trade off is that it can take longer for the checks to be made. But i believe your pretty much done and now you have to go through the NVC, a part of the process everyone envies because you can make it go really fast! ANyway goodluck and hope you do well.

2009-04-17 : NVC Received and assigned case # (18 days after NOA2)

2009-04-22 : Received DS-3032/I-864 Bill

2009-04-22 : Return Completed DS-3032 trough e-mail (accepted by NVC on May 04, 09, finally after 12 days)

2009-04-23 : Pay I-864 Bill

Our petition was in "administrative processing" according to USCIS, however we were abroad in Bahrain for a few a bit and went to the american embassy there and were informed that it was basically background checks!! My husband is middle eastern and with all the similarities in arab names it's sometimes difficult to weed through i guess? What ever the case, I'm just happy to be done with the first part.

I-130 NOA1 (Receipt) : 02-05-2008
RFE - On June 27, 2008
RFE - On August 1, 2008 Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed
TOUCH - 9-22-08!!! Finally
TOUCH - 9-23-08 Crossing my fingers for some good news today -
NOA 2 APPROVED!!!!: 6/26/2009
Case Completed @NVC - 9/25/2009
Interview Date: NOVEMBER 10, 2009~!
