Alit, you have 2 choices, either you call (which is much easier) or email NVC. (takes about a week or 2 b4 they reply)..or you can do them both.

Thanks Raymon, i will do them both. My husband is leaving for the States today and from there he will pay the AOS bill. The AOS bill was sent to him the day he left from States, May 12 so it's almost a month now. But we already mailed the Choice of Agent form last 2 weeks ago. I hope that the processing will continue to be fast, i'm really excited for the next visa bulletin since it showed that it's coming soon. Let's all hope for the best, especially for us whose priority date is 2008...

God Bless us all...

Hey Alit,

You will need both of those co-sponsors I think and if you haven't worked in the last 3 years. I suggest you start gathering you documents pertainting to those. I think they generally look for a good reason why you weren't working etc and the if the intending immigrant has a chance of becoming a public charge. If you sponsors earn well above the poverty guidelines, you should be good to go. Good luck.

lynn,

The general rule is even though you are not working and have no income you still need to file the AOS.

Hi friends,

I am new to this forum and its a very helpful place for all of us.

I am so confused with the following question on I-864. please help me.

I am a LPR filing for my wife and kid. my household size is 3. so, according to poverty guidelines, I should have at least 22k income. my last 3 years income is 19k(2007) 18K(2008) and 24K(2009). SO, I AM NOT ABOVE THE POVERTY LINE IN 2007 AND 2008. my current income is around 25K. BUT,I DON'T HAVE THE PAY STUBS FOR LAST 3 MONTHS AS I WAS BACK HOME WITH MY WIFE AND KID.

do you think this will be a issue? whether I should list all 3 years income in the I-864 ? please advice me.

Thanks.. :)

i think you should be ok since your current income is above the proverty guidelines. (22K for family of 3).

If you are unbable to provide pay stubs for the last 3 months then a certificate of employment will suffice.
