Hi mitch, If things didn't work out(court order thing) on your step son, maybe you can try this.

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3226.html

Your husband and your son will immigrate first.

Once your husband is in the US, he will just file I-824 instead of I-130.

You can ask NVC about this process since I'm not familiar with "Follow to join" procedure.

I think that you can get your stepson more faster in filing I-824 instead of I-130.

Goodluck.

To Yna, Cheers to you.

Another Happy ending on one of our VJ'ers.

Oh what a shame to see no one cared to ask how my interview went! and i thought i was part of this big happy family here?!! Dont feel too good to know that no one had me in mind actually.

Anyways, I had a real tough interview. I was asked all sorts of questions, and my interview must have lasted about 20-25minutes. The major setback had to do with our marriage occuring close after hubby's divorce from his previous marriage. Previous marriage started and ended quite shortly too. So according to the CO, it made our marriage seem suspicious. But after 5 years and 2 children........!!!

I was able to answer most of his questions best as i could. He asked what hubby does? checked the stamps on his passports (he asked for copies of his PP, thank God, i had them with me!)to see his goings and comings. Asked how many siblings he has, how many was married. Asked what job the co-sponsor does, asked if he was married, if he had children, where does he live, where does he work.

If I had ever applied for a visit visa b4, and so so many more questions.

At the end he gave me a letter to the High Court requesting them to authenticate the divorce certs. A second letter stating that i was refused visa under section 221g of the law for insufficient documentation, to rebook another appointment with the embassy when i have the requested document ready.

So far...

Got the needed from the Courts and already sent the email requesting for another interview date.
