POLICE CERTIFICATES: A police certificate is required from a country in which the applicant

lived for more than one year (six months if you are applying for a K visa) after turning 16

years of age. SOURCE: http://manila.usemba...v/wwwh3217.html

I work in Dubai, U.A.E. for 7 months only (April to Nov 2006)

April - Sept I'm working even if I just have tourist visa (5 months)

Sept - Nov The same company issued a working permit for me, and a residence visa (2 months)

In Dubai they will just issue a police clearance if you have a residence visa for 6 months above only

When I fill up the G-325A

*Applicant's employment last five years* I put April 2006 to Nov 2006

*Applicant's residence last five years* I just put my present address, I didn't put my address in

Dubai because I really don't know...

My problem is

What if the NVC ask me to get a police clearance from Dubai? They will not issue a police

clearance for me because my residence visa is only 2 months.

In form DS-230 the same question will be ask again

(Applicant's employment last five years and Applicant's residence last five years)

Guys, will I just write the same answer that I wrote in form G-325A or I need to put in

Applicant's Residence last five years: U.A.E. April 2006 to Nov 2006...

or maybe NVC will not ask me to get a police clearance from Dubai because I'm in a F2a category

( F category needs police clearance if your residency is 1 year above)

I'm confused! :help:

***sorry for my long confusing posts

yes. I'm positive.

I received a letter on May 12th, 2010 that says:

" The above petition has been approved. We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC), 32 Rochester Avenue, Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909"

With some more details.

And then on May 20, 2010 I received a an email that generated me a case number at the NVC.

I truly don't know how they work, but definitely its not pick-and-choose.

Hope you hear from them soon ..

As chakadoll mentioned if they are currently giving appointments for interview schedule from jan 2007 to jan 2008.That means we all are heading in the right direction in amazing speed. Those who filed very recently are the lucky ones. Service center is lagging behind a bit due to unexpected bulletin jump in last couple of months.Any one here got finished in less than 6 months? I think thats gonna happen soon. Hopefully no difference between citizen and an LPR(LONGING PERMENANT RESIDENT!!!) (L)

Hi sunny and sonny,

I think its better to check with manila consulate for PCC. Just read all the embassy notes carefully in their website.I just discovered if you are staying outside your home country we need to get PCC from the EMBASSY of lived country apart from local police. In your case i guess philippines embassy in UAE. 2 months stay is not needed even if you mentioned in 325 A.I cant comment on this please confirm with senior members. Be carefull when you write in these forms especially DS 230. Nvc will :bonk: I must say double check before you sent any forms.
