kareen, for me i have submitted our ds-230 first before the aos coz we are waiting for the tax return/transcript that we requested and it doesn't matter at all as long as you follow every instructions that would be just fine and always remember to put the barcode sheet at the front and always put your case number at the upper right corner of every paper....

again you may send aos and ds-230 together or which ones first you'd like to send first... just make sure you didn't lack any documents when submitting the forms and requirements.

but please since you are waiting for your daughter's name to be included in the petition and to appear at the online payment just DON'T SEND any of the documents first coz it will delay the process. just wait for your daugther to be included in the petition and whenever her name's in the petition then you can send the documents and which ever you want to send first or you can send them together doesn't matter but make sure when you send those dox your daughter is already in the list or else you will need to edit your aos form if you will send it without your daughter in the i864 form.

Yna, congratulations to you and family...am so happy to hear everything went well..God is is soo good..

hi edgar, welcome to vj family f2 category! :) as for me i brought emails, chat logs, money remittances, webcam screenshots, phone bills, pictures, security papers, and anything that you think might help you prove the consuls about your relationship with the petitioner... and as for my experience i brought eerything with me and weighing 7kg! and what they only asked me was 10pictures of us with different time, phone bills, money remittances (they asked me if i have emails or cards and chat logs but i said we don't do those anymore we are more into phone calls but of course which i can give them emails and chat logs but they said ok when i gave them the phone bills appearing 1-4hours of calls everyday 24/7 i am not kidding hehehe) and that was it all the 7kg was not even asked at all and i think it was because we are under f2 category unlike fiance that they will really need to ask you from the tip of your nail about you and your fiance... and at the final interview they only asked me about my date of birth, when we got married, and the work of my husband. unlike fiance that they will ask you when and where and how often and details of every meetings...

hope that helps edgar...

go ahead raymon ask me out on what your problem regarding tuberculin skin test.. what is it anyway?

Yna, congratulations..those long years of waiting and frustration is finally over for your family. And as for me im still waiting for my case to be completed and hopfully will have the schedule for the medical and interview by June or July.

Now that you mentioned about the vaccination, my son is supposed to have one this month...so are you saying we should not proceed with it..for what reason? And as for the tuberculine skin test, how many days does it take for the whole process, from the testing and getting the result. And if test is positive what will be the next step?

I guess your right on the interview, they are not so strict about it since its a family petition category, its more like a formality sake. Unlike those K Visas (fiancee) they will really skinned you during interview.

By the way you are from Cebu right? maybe i should have my wife call you if its okay with you.

mitch, that's so sad to hear... i have suggestion why don't you just adopt your stepson in that case it would be easier... i hope...

im just not sure how will it take for the whole adoption process. and in that way i have to file a different petition since my husband's file is already current... my lawyer and hubby is working so hard. we tried to make up deadlines for us. if the court order will not be finalized till lastweek of june and ill just go ahead and proceed. so sad that my stepson will be left behind and my hubby will just petition him himself when he gets here... which i know it wont be that forever coz USCIS are working harder this time to finish up cases...

i dont think adoption will be good idea.... ill do that when he's here.

edgar, i think it's ok but when the consul wil ask you why it's under your sister's name just tell the consul that that's what you're using and of course the number of the petitioner should appear on your sister's bill and so does your sister's number should appear on the petitioner's bill.

Yna, congratulations to you and family...am so happy to hear everything went well..God is is soo good..

thank you chakadoll! :) we are now waiting for our visas.. next time you will have yours! now i can say that base on my theory every family based petition will always get their visas as long as they meet all the requirements. that's what the consul told me "you're approved!" and i said " sorry sir but i just want to clear up my mind did you just say you have approved our visas?" he said "yes! coz you meet all the requirements" and we both smiled :)

By the way you are from Cebu right? maybe i should have my wife call you if its okay with you.

raymon, thank you for the greetings i really appreciate it :) about your question, if you are sure that you will have your interview this june then just don't let your son have his vaccine coz it will just delay the process and if you are sure that you will have your interview this coming july then make it sure that it's ending date of july coz otherwise it will delay the whole process... just like my daughter's..

about the tuberculin skin test, after one day the doctor will check it for what the result may be... and if it is positive your son will have his xray jsut like my daughter :) coz if it's positive they are worried if the child has/had tuberculosis... that's why if the result will come out positive they are required to have x-ray test actually both of my kids went x-rays and came out negative. so don't panic i know everyone in your family is healthy not has not experience tb at all. :)

are you the petitioner or your wife?

yes i am from cebu and sure your wife can call me i also have international number as well... if she's from the us.

edgar, yes the vaccines are mandatory... what i meant about the "please whoever has kids traveling with you just don't make any vaccine shot (with your private doctor) whenever you feel/know that you and your child will soon have a medical test coz if they will found out that your child just had a vaccine shot while getting your medical your child can't have a tuberculin skin test i don't know why maybe it will conflict or the the tuberculin skin test won't work i really don't know but for what i know just don't let your child have a vaccine shot the same month as when you are getting your child's medical test at st.lukes if you don't want to get delayed. and yes after the tuberculin skin test if it will come out negative the child can have vaccine shot by st.lukes. and if it is positive then will go xray and if come out positive then will go 6moths of treatment and if will come out negative then the child can have vaccine shot by st.lukes.

hello everyone my priority date is nov. 2008 f2a when can i receive my choice of agent? and how to call nvc. i received my case number last feb 2008 thru mail. and im just wondering how to contact nvc thru e-mail so that they can mail me also my COA... pls reply...

clav, you need to wait for nvc to email you the coa you can't just get it by requesting unless if you are petitioning for a child aging out then you can. and you can contact nvc at number 603-334-0700. and the email nvcinquiry@state.gov it needs patience and since your prio date is 2008 then you need to wait for your prio to be current at the processing timeframe for you to recieve those coa, fees and etc... but since the processing timeframe is still attending to those 2007 prio dates then you really need to wait eventhough the nvc has a current visa for prio dates with january 2008.

kareen, for me i have submitted our ds-230 first before the aos coz we are waiting for the tax return/transcript that we requested and it doesn't matter at all as long as you follow every instructions that would be just fine and always remember to put the barcode sheet at the front and always put your case number at the upper right corner of every paper....

again you may send aos and ds-230 together or which ones first you'd like to send first... just make sure you didn't lack any documents when submitting the forms and requirements.

but please since you are waiting for your daughter's name to be included in the petition and to appear at the online payment just DON'T SEND any of the documents first coz it will delay the process. just wait for your daugther to be included in the petition and whenever her name's in the petition then you can send the documents and which ever you want to send first or you can send them together doesn't matter but make sure when you send those dox your daughter is already in the list or else you will need to edit your aos form if you will send it without your daughter in the i864 form.

Thank's ate for the info, we will do that. We'll wait for her name to be included in the petition and also wait for the fees to be paid before submitting our papers. Congratulations on your visa, all your hardwork, patience and prayers we're answered!

i have a question ate, kelangan bang 2 copy ng I-864 ung papadala namin kase dalawa kami ng daughter ko? Or pwede pa photocopy nalang ung orig then send it at the same time? thanks ate and congrats again!
