hopefully mitch in a month or two we will be receiving our stuff from NVC then.

That's cool the PHILIPPINES have their own bulletin.. So you guys can actually get ahead of me.. Raymon when is your PD?

Mine is March 07...

How does someone know when NVC will start processing our cases..?

I heard and read on the web that Visas for F2a can take upto 3-5 yrs is that true..?

I was going crazy lol that's insane to even wait thats like waiting half a life time to be with your loved one... There is no point to even filing i130 then and just wait for citizen and then process your loved ones papers.. Make sense..?

 Has any1 ever recieved a letter like this..

Unfortunately, visa numbers are not presently available for your use. You will be notified when further

consideration can be given to processing your application for immigration. The reason for this delay is

that there are more applicants for visas than there are immigrant visa numbers available under the

limitation prescribed by law. For some visa categories, for example F3 or F4, this delay could be many

years. Should you wish to know which priority dates are currently being processed, you may call the state dept.

What does this mean???

this is just my luck

yes i am deciding. So, will we get permanant resident on the port of entry, if i did go back home and do consular processing?? or will I have to reapply once i get back with V visa? thanks

I am doing the whole process here and not risking it to go to deal with the NVC or Dept of State, just USCIS. If you do the application here in USA, wait to the visa number to become current and apply then for I-485 (AOS) and get GC here. This way no dealing with NVC or embassy.

When you do consular processing whatever problem you might have (if they come up with something) it is harder to deal with them. Here in the States is easier to hire a lawyer if anything goes wrong. when you go for CP you get the visa and get to wait a couple of weeks after you enter to get your GC.

whatever you decide, best of luck.

hi Raymon, i was just wondering what documents did you submit for another beneficiary? i dont have to add anyone but i honestly, errorneously, accidentally answer "stepson" as a relationship instead of a "SON" of my beneficiary.. i was stupidly thinking that they were asking for the relationship of me as the petitioner and our baby which is my stepson... now i know i have to correct that to --- son of the beneficiary--- and i was thinking i'll do that when my priority date is already current for processing...

does anyone knows what to do for that honest mistake that i did???? pls??? now that i know i can already correct that???

Hey Mitch, just send them a letter requesting to update petition to include your son as additional

derivative beenficiary; make sure to included photocopies of birth certificate, marriage contract and

your green card (front/back). Give them a month after request was sent, you can then email NVC to inquire if docs

were received and petition updated.

Hey lebanese girl, just make sure you wont overstay by more then 6 months, otherwise you may have
