Hey Cheer up Mitch, you can't think like that. None of know actually truly know when are cases will end. I feel more than just one day of "love" its what you guys feel the rest of the 364 days matters the most and I think because we spend so much time away from our loved ones, it bonds us together even more.

So here's to the remaining love days left in the coming year and I'll make sure that I make the most of them !

Cheers.

Do you know how right you are, I feel as though if I wasn't so far away from my husband. I don't think I would love him as much as I do now.. It's crazy but so true, don't get me wrong I love to be next to him every min of every hour but being apart from him makes my love stronger and more passionate.. Come on Mitch you are the one always telling everyone have hope and in matter of time everything will come together..

Good luck to everyone I know it's hard trust me I think we can all relate but I guess there is nothing we can do..

reading TWULF's and LEBANESE GIRL's post brightened my day.. i was even laughing while reading... my friends here in the office are just staring at me.... but you know sometimes, when things are just so hard, so tiring that i dont even have time for myself, so lonely which im thankful to GOD that i have my son with me, so sad that is takes a bond to be separated temporarily for years to be together as ever..... just so drained you guys that i thought of giving up and just going back to my own wonderful country and spend life in the simpliest way.... and i totally agree, the distance is what makes us closer and more passionate... i can say communication is one of the keys to survive our situations....

im just so thankful enough with my VISAJOURNEY family.... im always been looking forward to go online and check on this thread... i enjoyed every post that we have in this specific thread... its like a family that i never had....

Hi Mathew

First of all welcome. Regarding entering US on visitor visa(i think your spouse is in US, so dont know why would you want to enter Canada but i understand its the closest you can get), Yes you can do that but its not easy and the chances are slim and a lot depends on your case/background/profession/ties to your country and a whole lot of other things and also in my experience all of it depends on the visa officer interviewing you for that visa, (if he/she feels that you are not going to return to you home country, you are not going to get it, no matter how strong you feel your case it

I have been to the US on a visitor visa while my I-130 was pending, but its very subjective and on a case by case basis.

Student visas are whole different ballgame and need a lot of work and funds and not to mention studying... :D So my vote goes to trying for a tourist visa.

Dear friends

Am right now in UK on work permit. but it expires next jan. planning to apply for a visitor visa after going back to mumbai. i finished masters from UK and worked in NHS for 2 years. so i am not sure whether they consider my case for a visit. we want to celebrate our 3rd aniversary toghether.:dance::dance::dance: she cant leave US coz of leave restrictions. and for a visa approval it will take...... years. so my question again is there any law in immigration that once immigrant visa petition is filed we cannot apply for non immigrant tourist visa ?? she lives in buffalo newyork. so i planned of entering toronto on student visa and she can cross canadian border as she is a LPR and hopefully we can meet each other once in a month.

Am sick :crying::crying::crying: ............ FRIENDS,PEOPLE START THEIR WILDEST THINKING WHEN THEY GET TRAPPED IN THIS IMMIGRATION HORROR. Realy sad that all of us are suffering.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHEN OUR CASE WILL BE APPROVED (FILED MAY 2009) :innocent::innocent:

hi mathew.... welcome aboard... well, checking our timelines will really help... coz there is really no exact time span for the very long wait... some takes 4-5 years and the lucky ones took 3 years.... so it matters with each cases. check some of the timeline and im pretty sure you'll get some idea... just like mine, i applied july 2007 and my case was approved by USCIS Oct 28, 2009...it took 2 years and something for approval and im guessing i still have more than a year till interview.

mitch, I think having a joint account with your spouse in the foreign country is a plus in evidence. Whatever helps to establish that the marriage is not for immigration purposes.

Ok so guess what new info i regained considering the fact my husbands name is on the international watch list his papers are delayed.. HELLLO it’s a different middle name then the person that’s on the watch list, ugggh this is killing me. What's next, i can't bare this anymore.. I am muslim and damn proud of it, doesn't make me terrorist nor my husband.. This just makes my stomach turn in knots. But considering the fact that my husband has never even been in jail I am more then confident that there are just wasting my time and their time searching for anything.. I also understand that they are just doing their job as well as protecting the USA. So I put a smile on my face and wait and wait and wait and more wait lol..

Mitch I'm really glad you have a positve attituded now, but guess what me and you are so alike remember last month. I to said I am giving up and just going to live back home, and you told me nooo just keep on going more then likely my papers will come... LOL remember?? Anyway Mitch we are all in the same boat, and what's funny is that none of my friends nor family understand what I am going through besides you guys that's why I keep coming back here. It hurts me to read and find out that people that applied after me are getting their noa-2 and I still have my noa-1.. But I'm still confident that sooner or later my husband is coming or I'm going there so we can atlast be together.. You have your son to keep you striving and going.. I have memories and thoughts pictures and videos that keep me remembering and saying I LOVE HIM.. I been trying to have a baby for 1 yr now but how am I to be able to if we are oceans away.. Good luck to me you and everyone else on this site struggling I know its hard..
