hi kareen, youre a heaven sent!!! you are sending good news for all of the spouses that are trying to be reunited!!! first of all... i petitioned my hubby july 2007 and got the receipt aug 2007... and thats all i have till now.... so you mean to say... you are already approved???? SO IM NEXT IN LINE???? OOOHHH MY GOSSHHH!!!! im like shaking!

Plss..... GOD help!!!

anyway, youll be able to bring you baby over im sure. you just have to update them when you get those stuff from them and tell them above the addition for the visa.... this category has derivative beneficiary!....

i just cant believe this... and i know you can relate that its very hard to be away from each other...

Hi Mitch! yah, my husband got the approval for i130 last july so yours maybe on its way too... We are pretty surprised to receive the approval this early, we are expecting it next year but thank God its here! Thanks for the info, i really have no plans of leaving my baby girl.I just love her so much...

I really can tell how hard it is to be away from each other, all this sacrifices and pains that this waiting time is giving us. But i just thank God for giving my husband means, so he can go home every 6 months. I wish and pray that we can all be reunited with our loved ones soon!

My hubby is not yet a citizen. We all have the same feeling and excitement.even if it takes 2 more years or more(hopefully not) to be able to finish this painful process. Let's just all pray that the flow will get faster and smoother. And yah, maybe yours is now on its way to u! goodluck to all of us!

Hello, can I add up to this thread?

Actually, it's my LPR cousin who is petitioning her husband. She filed the I-130 last May 2007 and she told me that she got the approval July, 2009. She received a letter from USCIS saying that her case was forwarded to Visa Center. I wonder how long it will take for NVC to process the papers?

Good luck to all of you in your visa journey.

Mitch,

the I-130 is for spouse F2A - spouse of LPR. I wanted to let you know that USCIS works differently from National Visa Center. The USCIS approves I-130 based on the dates received not based on the country that the LPR spouse is from. The Department of State-National Visa Center that issues every month the Visa Bulletin - gives the the visa numbers based on the country of origin and the annual quota. Plus my country is not that special case (like Mexico or so) should not be waiting time different from the ROW (rest of the world).

From other sources/forums it looks like California center is much more ahead of Vermont Center. Just wanted to see if that was the case here. I think that most I-130 approvals from 2007 are from California, while the Vermont center is insisting on the same date of January 2006. Vermont right now is very slow for the I-130 petitions through spouses.

What USCIS Center did you guys apply (the approved I-130 petition dated 2007)? I really want to know. I am getting worried that maybe USCIS somehow someway forgot about I- 130 of year 2006 (since another person who applied the same time with me, the application is still pending). Congrats you guys from 2007

i dont think there is such thing as USCIS is forgetting filed petitions... just bare in mind that it varies every country.... what kind of I130 did you got?? is it from a spouse???

Mitch,

the I-130 is for spouse F2A - spouse of LPR.

I guess it varies where the petition was filed. Mine was filed in California service Center. I was filed June of 2007

My cousin also filed her petition in California Service Center, last May 2007. Looks like you both have the same timeline, being approved July 2009.

We applied sometime in Aug 2006 for the I-130 and as of today the only thing we received was a letter with the case number a couple weeks after. The status of our application is still pending. In a few weeks it will be a total of 3 years waiting time. :crying:

Since we applied the VSC has been processing January 2005 and no change on that in three long years.

My brother petitioned for his wife and children in May of 2005 at the Vermont Visa Center. His priority date is Dec 2005. In April 2009, he received a letter from NVC stating that a visa is available. All the documents were processed and the case is complete at NVC as of August 7, 2009. The file was transferred to the U.S. Embassy in Tirana and they are just waiting for a medical exam and interview. So they are moving very quickly. I believe that you will receive something from NVC very soon and once you do, it only takes a couple of months to process everything with all the documents that you are required to submitt to them. What my brother did to expedite the process was to sign up electronically so that instead of NVC sending all the instructions on postal mail, all the communication took place over emails. He also paid the visa fees and AOS fee electronically on the NVC's website.

hi, i know they are not basing it as where youre from but what i was just trying to say is, the processing varies every countries... and i dont believe they'll forget your file. but if that wasnt a help then just disregard that..... thanks

Mitch, while I do have faith that most cases in USCIS are processed within the "time limit" they actually are known to lose parts of files (applications) or even the whole thing --- rarely but it has happended :)) LOL That's why they always say to keep copies of the orginal filed application. All, I wanted to know if the I-130 approvals dated 2007 were from the same centers. Also, any information/feedback/reply helps to clarify and understand the process better (first time going through this).

EmaQ,

Thanks for sharing this info with us, I am really happy for him and his family. It really helps to give us an idea what to expect and thank you for the tips on moving quickly the petition.

I am really confused about the priority date why is it so far behind compared to the original application date (May 2005 petition date ---- to Dec 2005 priority date)? In the Visa Bulletin this month it is April 2005 (which is about right, with your brother's I-130 original petition date. Any thoughts on this?

Shume faleminderit :))
