My country is lebanon and I don't think it should be a long wait considering not alot of lebanese apply for spouses and really lebanese people usually go to Paris or austrialia and canada

This is insane what's going on here OMG...!!! I'm really nervous like beyound Nervous now uggh... Why me...???

If you applied in Vermont Service Center, they transferred all the I-130s (from people I know, including our I-130 to Texas or other centers). I applied in AUG 2006 and I have not heard anything from them yet. I talked to them a month ago and they told me that from the cases transferred from Vermont to Texas they were working on June 2006, and they told me to wait. So we called them back this week and they sent a request to see what was going on in the case. Again, we were told to wait another 45 days before contacting them again. Don't worry, you still have some time, but if you get nervous the petitioner should call them and ask about it. First few times they will not hep you much, but if u get lucky someone will send a request or even get an IO to look at your case right away.

You may have to wait a while even if you get your approval today (NVC is still at March 2006 visa numbers).

I don't think I-130 has to do with the country of origin, from my experience it has mostly to do with the particular Service Center. It is the visa numbers that are used based on the country.

Yeap, most applications are from Philippines and Mexico, I totally would hate to be in their shoes (especially for the other preference categories). But for F2A we are in the same boat, same date of processing as the rest of the world, beside Mexico.

I am a little worried but not giving up yet. When we applied at VSC, they were really fast in approving I-130s in 6 months, while California was the slow one (long wait). Now, they have decided to shift places and worry us sick. Anyhow, I will let you know what happens. At least the last time, we called them they sent in a request to have our case looked at (we will inquire sooner than the 45 days). We'll keep calling them everyday if that's what it takes LOL.

It's a good thing that they are working on your case and asking for additional information needed to approve your I-130. When did you submit you I-130 and did you put those phots and the form G-325A with the original application of I-130?
