anyone LPR who file i-130 for spouse...

hi mitch , just new in the process.. I am a wife of a LPR too.. petition has been approved in just 94 days from noa1.. I don't know how long would our priority date be current but hoping and praying for visa bulletin's big jump..

try making your timeline so we'll see on where youre at right now. USCIS took 2 years to approve my petition and twas forwarded to NVC to wait for the bulletin. i know its a long road to travel and who knows when these all gonna end but hang in there... the rolling ball will come to a stop at any point.

I am on K1. I am searching and reading about I-130 for my sister who is also having applied for I-130 way back NOVEMBER 15, 2006.

I was the one who kept on checking their case online, actually she almost don’t believe me when I told her that I THINK her petition was approved (I am not sure though), lol. For real, it is a long journey.

I believe we will be able to get through the whole process soon. Practice patience, patience and more patience.

Here is what I got online (for my sis’ case).

On April 7, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN.

Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283

I don't have chance to talk to her about the petition (occupied in her work as a medical scientist),

her husband got a package and sent it to my sister, and she didn’t have it yet, when she got it, for sure we will

talk about what would be the next thing to do.

That I-130 approval is for my sister, mine is I-129F. She waited around 5 years, I hope I get mine in 5 months

Just after the divorce, i met a lady back in my country (Africa), she got pregnant and we just had a bouncing baby boy 3weeks ago. 2weeks ago, we had our wedding done but not a flamboyant one.

Now to the scenario, I had put the below together for the I-130 petition for my new spouse and son but I need you guys to please chip in one or two things before I file I-130 when I’m back in the US by month end.

SPOUSE

Please find enclosed the following required documents:

1. Check for I-130 filing fee of $420

2. Completed form G-1145 for E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance

3. Completed and signed form I-130

4. Completed and signed form G-325A and a passport photo (Petitioner & Beneficiary)

5. Copy of front and back of Permanent Resident card (Petitioner)

6. Copy of Marriage certificate

7. Copy of Birth certificate (Petitioner & Beneficiary)

8. Copy of Divorce certificate (Petitioner)

9. Photographs x 10

Please, also find enclosed supporting documents as evidence of our bonafide marriage:

10. Birth certificate of child showing Petitioner and Beneficiary’s names

11. Joint Savings Account statement as evidence of financial resources co-mingling

12. Western Union Money Transfer documents from Petitioner to Beneficiary abroad

13. Flight booking details of Petitioner’s visits to Beneficiary

14. Online print out of Phone call history to beneficiary with REBTEL as proof of ongoing marital union

15. Joint E-mail correspondence between Petitioner and Beneficiary

yes i agree - we send original copies - i believe that you can produce more of that - when you request from your NSO - National Statistics office if you need....

Notorized documents are not accepted. The instructions are clear and says ONLY original or certified douments will be accepted...

Thanks guys, if that is the case how do i get it certified and where in Africa or USA? Getting copies of those things in Africa is more than what you think.

Although, what i saw In the I-130 instruction is to submit a copy of the marriage cert and birth cert. but i guess you guys are talking form experience.

ok... so you have not sent it as yet. you will need a photocopy of the items you mentioned above.. however later you will need those certified/originals

i did not send any original documents (marraige/birth cert) just get an authenticated one and youll be fine!
