USCIS has to approve your petition first and then it will be forwarded to NVC for them to approved your case and complete it.

The NVC cannot Approve or Deny Cases. They review the submitted evidences (like pre-screen) then submit the cases to the Embassy/Consulate who will Approve ir Deny A case. The NVC will sometimes submit a case to the Consulate even if documents are missing they will mark the file /item as not received and the interview letter will let the interviewer know if the item should be sought and taken to the interview.

Did you petition for someone or are you being petitioned by someone (spouse)...? What is your priority date..?

hi ricardo, pd is apr2008, i was petitioned by my husband under f2a catgeory, i feel blessed and lucky enough that they granted me a visa last December 2010 before visa bulletin retrogressed to jan2008 and now to jan2007. i've went through this stage before, i really feel the pain of all those who are waiting, keep the faith guys. Continue trusting the Lord.

okay. my bad... i was referring to them completing it... but personally i still call it approval so it can be forwarded to US embassy in my country.

I have received a email from NVC informing me my F2A interview date for 15 Mar, however i still have not received my Original documents like Birth cert,Marriage cert and other documents which i had submitted to the NVC.Am i right in assuming that they must have already send them to the Mumbai consulate or is that they will mail them back to me?

Replies would be really appreciated.

dont you know that you are a "heaven sent" i havent had any good sleep since they move the visa bulletin to jan 2007. my case was completed dec 21. and till now i still havent received anything yet. im already preparing myself to have an interview date by july and was even looking for a cheaper flights for im planning to take a vacation home this march since we are both depressed and sad about all these. what is your priority date anyways? well, now, i wont keep my hopes high. its bad to be misled by my own mind thinking ill have the interview by march and at the end of the day.. ill find out that im still in the capsule waiting.

at least now, im seeing another light at the end of the cave again... one more light... i hope ill have mine by next month too.....

1 Question : I have already submitted following original docs to NVC - POlice Certificate, Marriage Cert, Birth Cert. Do i need to arrange those original docs again and take with me for Interview?

Your wife's Visa approve as in IR1 category not F2A, cus you were citizen last month, DOS automaticaly upgrade your case file according recent AILA informations....You are lucky cus your citizenship and interview happened in the same time, otherwise it will be a more waiting since F2A retrogressed one year back!!!!

Mitch my PD was 21st JUL 2006,and dont worry we all are with u just like how ull had helped TWULF,i may not be a regular in here but i do keep on checking the updates in here from time to time.Have u called the NVC and spoken to a operator asking them abt your intvw date?

I dont think any one answered your question. The NVC will forward your case which will include all the original documents submitted to them. The consulate will have this information. It's good to also bring a set of the documents submitted incase they say it was never received from the NVC. IF You read th email from theNV informing you of the interview you will see a DOCUMENT CHECKLIST maybe on page 3 or 4 and will say the documents they have and the ones you will need to obtain.
