hi

i have got a bit mixed up!

i followed the instruction on the NVC website soon after paying the 75$ i sent the affidavit of support letter and then after paying 400$ requested by NVC, as it said on the website, i mailed all the civil documents together with DS-230 to the following address:

National Visa Center

Attn. CMR

32 Rochester Avenue

Portsmouth, NH 038012909

but now around 10 days after sending the DS-230, i received an email from NVC (checklist) that i have to send my DS-230 to the following address:

NATIONAL VISA CENTER

ATTN. DR

31 ROCHESTER AVENUE, STE 100

PORTSMOUTH, NH 03801-2909

i am mixed up now, shall i send them again? or maybe they have not received the docs yet?!

i have also send the DS-230 to the first address, shall i send to the new one?!

waiting for your help..

Great news! The visa bulletin for January 2010 has now been posted and F2A has moved by 2 months -- January 1, 2006. It's a very positive news.

Also, finally my wife's DS3032 has been generated, as well as AOS Bill and IV Bill for me. I am so excited. It feels good to begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Lucky for us, I asked my wife to send a choice of agent request by email to NVC on November 21. NVC responded the day after the DS3032 was generated (Dec 8) that they have accepted the choice of agent selection.

@Admire. I enjoyed my conversation with you and your husband too. My wife will be going to Lagos early next week to get her police report. I hope they don't give her any trouble there. Do you have any suggestions for her.

@Jim&Mitchell. So a visa number is available for you in January. I am sure your interview will be scheduled for January. I hope it's the beginning of January so you can get this whole thing over with. Please let us know as soon as you get your interview letter.

yippieeeeee! Am so excited for you Samkunle. The end of the journey is in sight already. As per the police report, I will get back to you on that tomorrow.

As for the rest of us in the house, lets keep being happy knowing our turn is just around the corner.

I am sooo encouraged.

Oh yes indeed. Your turn is just around the corner. The queue in moving! I'll expect any information you might have on the police report, if you have any. The last time I did mine is about 8 years ago. I can barely remember the process. What I remember for sure is that the police officers at the Central Police Command in Lagos will do everything they can to extort as much money as they can from you.

My wife is good in bargaining, but I hope she is up to the challenge with these Lagosian Police people. My wife is planning to meet up with a friend in Lagos who will help out. Hopefully, they are able to get the certificate in a day.

@mitch, sometimes you have to redial the number several times before getting through, but of course you have to make sure you are dialing the right number - 1 603 334 0700.

whats up yall, my case was completed on October 21 st , had to wait like 6 weeks to get the e-mal for the interview. and also for the priority date to become available.

Jim&micheel** i dont know how this centers work, becouse VSC is currently processing January 2010 dates, and Ijust look at CSC and its processing Augst 2009, that kind of confuse me :S , if anybody can explain me that , would be great. but i hope u get ur interview in January, cause we have the same prio- date. best of luck, keep informed how u doing . good luck :jest:

@Chesster, actually the USCIS Service Centers such as in Vermont (VSC) and California (CSC) process the original immigrant petitions. When they approve the petition, your case file is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC) where you wait for a visa number to be available for you. At this point, VSC and CSC are DONE with your case, and they no longer have anything to do with it.

NVC will complete your case prior to or when a visa number is available for your priority date. I am sure that in the last couple of months, you have been dealing with the NVC, just like quite a number of us in this forum. Chesster pls keep us updated on your interview and your case. I wish you the best.

@Jim&Michelle, I am sure that you would not need to wait 6 weeks after your case is complete to get an interview date, especially since a visa number is available for January for your priority date. I am confident you will get your interview date very very soon. You are already there!

NVC emailed me back with my CASE# already.... good-good.... but since my priority date is still away from the dates that they are processing as of now, so they were saying that they will detain my petition in NVC till a visa will be available... maybe, im guessing mid of 2010 that they will start sending me stuff to process... which is still not a bad thing at all....i thought i wont be approved till 2010.

NVC adviced me to keep on checking for the priority dates with this number ---> (202) 663-1541 which i tried calling just to check how it is, and an automated voice will just say the dates for the categories that are being processed by NVC for this moment. so cool and fast.

Heres a GOOD NEWS for all of us LPRs:

i saw it online yesterday that they are already trying to finalized the bill for LPRs who are petitioning their spouses to be in the same category as USC... so for short, a visa will be available right away... we dont have to wait for years and forever in that case. i HOPE, PRAY, and WISH that this will be implemented soon.... continue in keeping my fingers crossed for that issue.... so much for that.... just wanted to share it to you guys.... have a safe, fun weekend everyone
