yes! i am the petitioner!

if your beneficiary's email is in the NVC's system, they will receive that as well. but for sure, you'll receive that from your email. you can just forward that to your beneficiary, have him/her sign and you both decide who will be the agent...

Hi Mitch, This might help. I didn't send a new passport for my kids, when i sent them my RFE. I wrote a letter saying that due to the new processing of getting a passport on our country they won't be able to release it until 2nd week of JUly. Might want to try it. And my case was completed on July 14, 2010. Goodluck. And will keep on praying for you.

OK. LET ME SHARE HOW I SEE WHAT THE AGENT NEEDS TO DO SO YOU GUYS DECIDE.

WILL:

- be the person to receive all the emails from NVC for any progress and anything that NVC needs about your case.

(of course, the beneficiary can will still receive that as long as their email add is with the NVC system)

- be the person to pay all the bills ($70.00 for IV bill, and $400.00 for every beneficiary that is coming to the US)

- be the primary person to contact NVC incase of any issue with the paper works...

I myself is the petitioner and the agent as well, lesser stress that way and is faster to contact NVC. i believe almost everyone here has the petitioner as the agent!

did you mail your AOS as certified and prioritized? post office people will give you a mailing receipt that has that code that you can check online if your mail reached NVC already and they will mail you back the receipt with NVC's receiving personel signature!

give it two weeks clav214.... it usually takes 3 days for your mail to be in New hampshire, 2 days max to be received by NVC. maybe 2-4 days for it to be in file and give it a little more time for AVR to show that its there.... then you call.....

Thanks alit! My priority date is February 2008, but to tell you frankly, your priority date has nothing to do with the case completion of your case at NVC and the scheduling of your interview. Once your case is current and your case is "documentarily qualified", NVC will forward your case to the Embassy already. Another tip, Make sure to complete all documents before you send them to NVC. Try to avoid a Request for Further Evidence as this will slow down the processing of your case. Once all your document are in order, NVC will surely always complete your case after 2 weeks from the date that they entered your documents into their system.
