actually alit the instruction and the link is in the letter that your father in law got and if you have updated nvc your email then you will also receive it in your email... but if none call nvc and update your email with them in that case it would be better for nvc to contact you whenever they will send you another letter or fees for you to pay.

hi kareen thank you :) my hubby is residing in seattle... how about you? or anyone here in seattle?

mitch did you got my num already? i PMed it to you... can you send me yours as well? by the way what's up with you now? how's everything?

 My husband received his

Form DS-3032, Choice of Address and Agent Form and

the petitioner an Affidavit of Support, processing fee bill ($70)

Is he the one who will fill it up?

only his signature?

Thanks!!!

wow! already u have the choice of agents forms? the process has REALLY gone speed racing!! am really glad the rest of the crew dont have to wait as long as we did. it took a little over 3 years for me to get that stuff. AMAZING!

The beneficiary is to fill up the choice of agent. he/she can fill the US-based spouse to be the chosen agent. Better still, he/she can write an email to nvc instead with the chosen agent's details but see guides at the top of ur VJ page to see what format you should use.

All the best!

you're welcome kareen, actually in our case since ako yung principal na applicant and two dependents (in which me and the children are in one petition lang) so we only submitted one i-864 and i believe you and your kids are peititoned in one application right? but if your husband petitioned them in a different paper then you will need to send a separate i-864. but as far as i know if the peititoner is lpr then the dependents will be in one petition paper as well... good luck!

ah ok, i'll tell him to send just one copy of the AOS. tnx ate for all your help, you are helping a lot of us =)

hi kareen sorry to say this but as far as i am concerned all i know if you are in your 5th month up i don't think if the airline will allow you to travel coz it is not good for the baby inside you maybe on 7th month but onwards i really doubt coz as far as i remembered they almost not allow me to travel on my 5th month when i had my pregnancy with my daughter.. but just please ask around just to be sure coz i don't want to give out wrong information and also if you are pregnant when you travel you need your ob's certification that it is ok to travel or with st.lukes' doctors as well... just please ask around...

and i would like to add since i saw it in your timeline that you sent your request for your daughter just this month more likely the approval will be this coming june and hoping that you will be done with all the sending of documents in july or august so you can have your interview by september...

hi ate! im not thinking anymore of giving birth there because i know we wont finish the processing until i give birth. thank's for the info tho! But i have a question, what if, im done with my medical and interview and i already have my visa in hand but i cant leave yet since im pregnant and im due September, can i delay my trip until i give birth? is there a way that i can bring my new born with me? what are the requirements? These are the things that's running through my mind right now. I dont want the baby to be left out here when his/her mom,dad and sister are all together in the US. Whats the best thing to do? i need help with this. thanks a lot =)

kareen, i guess it would be better for your hubby to get another job so by the time his work will close he has a new job already coz nvc will ask for cert of employment as proof that your hubby can support or or he can get a joint sponsor if in case he can't get a job after his work will close but let's pray before everything you guys can send all the requirements to nvc so there wil be no problem at all.

Hi ate! Another question again, sorry makulit po :bonk::bonk::bonk: just incase we can submit everything in june, and Nvc receives it before hubby's work will close in august, is that safe na ba? or wala na bang magiging problem nun kahit mawalan sya ng work?

Thanks sis for you answer...

You said that I have to scanned it, so I will send it thru email???

I would like to ask you again another question... :)

We have 3 kids, They were all using MY surname because we are not yet married that time when I conceived,

so in FEB 2007his petition was granted and he went is USA,

then OCT 2007 he took a vacation and we got married.

In FEB 2009 we both go to the registrar office in Caloocan Municipality to change the

surname of my 2 kids (eldest and youngest) they were born in Caloocan... it went smoothly,

in just 1 week their surname is in their father.

Then after that we went in Municipality of Manila to arrange the birth certificate of my 2nd son,

there are more documents that are needed in Manila, and we have no time because my husband got only

1 week left in his 1month vacation... so my 2nd child is still using my surname.

FYI his birth certificate has an acknowledgment from his dad at the back.

My eldest and youngest is now using their father's surname

while my 2nd is still using mine.

SO HERE'S MY QUESTION (sorry for my long story, I just want it to be clear)

Can we add my 2nd child as a derivative beneficiary even though he still

using my surname. I thought it will not affect our processing because we are legally married,

can we just change his surname in US?

My brother in law went in embassy,

one of the employee there told him that the child should be using his dad's surname

before petitioning him... BUT i thought it's not true because many of his relative went in

US while they are using their mother's surname.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY THAT I SHOULD DO?

CAN I EMAIL THE NVC AND ASK THEM?

sorry for my longgggggg message...

pls help me out...

thanks in advance with all my heart (L)

yes you will email the request so does with the scanned dox to nvc.... nvcinquiry@state.gov

about your second son why don't you go to city health or municipality where you can request for legitimation for your son so he can bring your husband's last name i think you will only need to endorse it to the municipality and then you will give them your marriage cert and birth cert of the child and ask for other documents that they will need for legitimation of the child (the same as how you requested for your eldest and youngest child) the same process.

but as far as i know in the petition if you can download the 1-864 form before answering the questions there is a part where you need to read instructions about how to answer the form and the legend of petitioning a family member so there you can see who can petition a relative and since you said that your 2nd child was acknowledge by your husband then he signed the birth certificate meaning his the biological father then i see no reason on why you should worry eventhough your child is bearing your last name. as long in his bc your husband's name reflected on it and signed on it then it should be okay. but then again just to avoid delays just go to municipality again and endorse it to them for legitimation of your 2nd child. (if your case is not current so you have more time for everything) but if your case is already current then ask nvc about it. just to be sure.

anyway when sending the ds-230 they will also ask for your marriage cert and birth cert of the kids so it will reflect there.
