Mitch, already send back my DS-3032 by email and email, and also AOS bill is showing paid online.

Im just waiting for NVC to send me the I-864 package probably 2 to 3 weeks from now, ill keep you posted.

By the way..you can email NVC and advise them to send the DS-3032 to your email address.

Thats what i did last month and LO and BEHOLD..they send it last week..I dont know if that's just

pure coincidence or luck..but it works.

Maybe you should give it a try...

Mitch, my status right now is also pretty much the same as Raymon's (sent DS3032 and AOS bill shows paid online). You should call and give them your email id or just email them about your email address. I did that. I think (as far as predictions go and you are pretty good at it :) ) you'll probably get DS3032 next month.

Raymon, have you received any acknowledgement from NVC about them receiving DS3032. Do let us know. I'll do the same, just to see how long it takes.

i will try to wait for a month more since my priority date is JULY 27, 2007... SAMKUNLE was advicing me to wait for about 5 months coz to some people who requested too early had some delayed experiences since NVC will have to reject for requesting it far from their PRiority date... ill do that next month then.

i havent send my letter for my step-son's issue... you said i need his birthcert right? just that?

Give it a try this May...hopefully will have a positive response then. :innocent:

About the stepson issue ,just send them photocopies of both the Birth and Marriage certificate.

Oh yes, I do remember that. Well, I haven't had any problems as of yet. in fact after a couple of dials, i got through within the 1st ring and then gave them my email id, and a day before that I'd sent them an email advising them of my address, and 2 days after that they did send the AOS fee letter on that id, so i think you should do that. looking forward to hearing about your DS and AOS soon

Lebenese girl, i also sent my DS3032 both by email and regular mail. Its upto you otherwise. You coudl wait for a response on the email version and then decided.

Hello my VJ friends. I have some wonderful news. My wife and son's visas were approved today at the Lagos Consulate in Nigeria. We are so excited and relieved. It's been an extraordinary and long journey as you all can relate to. I want to thank you all for your support and encouragement.

My wife said that the interview went very smoothly. It lasted less than 3 minutes. The consular officer barely asked her any questions. The CO only asked her one question in the form of a statement - "so you and your husband have known each other for a long time?". My wife said "yes, we have known each other for about 10 years now; we met in college". The CO then asked to see pictures. She looked at a few pictures, and that was it. She said "congratulations, your visa has been approved". She asked my wife to pick up the visas next wednesday.

My wife could not believe it. I can't believe it. All of the mountain of evidence that she took with her - email logs, phone records, bank statements, etc were not looked at at all. All praise to God for making this a smooth process. A

My wife will be arriving in San Francisco airport next week Sunday. I can't wait to be reunited with her. The journey has lasted too long, but it's over now. I pray all of you have a smooth visa process too like we did.

Thanks again for all your support!

wow that is so amazing! same here i have lots and lots of evidences with me and getting ready formy interview soon, reading this from you makes me wonder what might the CO will ask me whew! kinda scary and nervous in my part but me and my family will be praying for our interview and for the people who'll be united with their family as well. if i am not mistaken i will be next in line for interview here in this thread or is there anybody having interview for the month of April?

then agiain, so glad to know that you and your wife and son will be together no more long distance to handle for both of you... so happy as if i am the one with the visa on hand :)

hi mitch just want to add, i guess it is on basis to basis issue... coz when i asked for a request that we will have an additional family member for our family our daughter for the petition they asked us to send only security paper of birth certificate and the copy of approved petition(NOA2) and after a month our daughter's paper is ok and we paid the IV fee. if i were you mitch just try to call and ask them on what to do with your situation in that case they will be the one to tell you on what's best to do... :) hope this will help.

p.s.

i have read that you will need a month to call them for your papers indeed that's clever but as i can see to it since you have not received your DS3032 or the choice of agent and the rest of the stuff try fixing the one you told me about what you mistaken with your stepson's paper in that case by the time you receive the good stuff your papers are all ready and you will not request anything for the mistake you made. coz i just realize way before that we should have requested our daughter's paper before we got our DS3032 coz it a month to get our daughter's approval and one month has been wasted while me and my husband could have done it way before when we got our approval of petition.

(just a piece of thought and suggestion based on my experience)

mitch, try calling them around 9pm your time that's how i got into the system coz if you will call them around working hours your time it'll be very busy and you cannot even get a ring hehehe... and also mitch for the stepson issue you really NEED to call them and ask on what to do coz every situation has a different requirement/answer to it. like raymon's and my situation, they didn't even asked for our marriage certificate so try to ask them on what to get for your stepson's issue :)Good luck!

and to all, April is in now so hoping for a new posting of visa bulletin and processing for the petitions!

@mitch, I agree with yna. I just want to make this point: I don't exactly remember me telling you that "you should wait 5 months before contacting NVC". What I remember telling you some months ago is that you would probably start receiving documentation from NVC about 5 to 6 months before your PD is current. I also remember suggesting that you should keep an eye on people that have PDs close to yours. And from the look of things, NVC has stepped up, they are contacting people earlier than they used to. So NOW is the time to start getting yourself ready. You don't want to be the cause of any delay on your own case.

I remember offering you the following advice:

1. Type up and send NVC a letter to clarify things about your son/step son. Raymon has reiterated this.

2. Call NVC and talk to an operator to register your email address. NVC prefers email correspondence.

3. Start assembling documents in preparation for when NVC will start sending you correspondence. I had posted a link on this forum that provides information on how to do this.

We are all trying to help each other out on this forum :)
