HI, I have read a few things on this forum & I'm extremely confused....

My husband came to USA w/ his DS3025. That is what we submitted with our AOS package. Do we need I-693A for the interview? I have read many folks saying that got approved w/o submitting an I-693A. We never received any RFEs for anything.

We only have a few days & I'm extremely worried that we'll get denied because we don't have I-693A. Is a DS3025 sufficient? It was filled out by a US Consulate approved doctor in India.

Does anyone have feedback?

Don't worry!!

First - the I-693A is no longer being used...what is used is the full I-693. For a K-1, you only need to fill out certain parts of it and have a Civil Surgeon transcribe your DS3025 onto the I-693 form and sign it.

Similar situation happened to my husband, we submitted the DS3025 and only learned AT the interview that the rest of his medical paperwork (the stuff in the envelope that was turned in at POE) never made it into his file.

We got an RFE for the I-693 at the interview and got like 30 days to send it back to them.

What happened to us though was that my husband had to redo his full medical exam because it was apparently lost between POE and his file with USCIS.

Hope this helps

Whether you need the I-693 will depend upon the IO performing the interview and if you need more vaccinations. If you need the I-693, it is normal t get an RFE as sarah n robbie mentioned.

If every required shot was done in India and shown on the DS3025, then that form will do. If he needs anything to be given in the US, then he will need his DS3025 shots + his US shots put on the I693 immunization section. If they lose his file in the brown envelope turned in at POE, then sadly you will have to do the whole medical exam over again. That's not supposed to happen, but it does.

Here's the latest info about exactly what shots are needed for what ages. There's detailed explanation in the footnotes. The list is long, but most are for children and babies. Most adult males only need MMR and Td or Tdap to meet the requirements, but check the list.
