oh F that...I'm going home for Thanksgiving and if they give me a hard time I will tell them then maybe the government should STEP IT UP a little! I mean, come on, most of us filed very early into the 90 day time period. It says I'm still in initial review after almost 3 months.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Yes, I think I'm going home for Thanksgiving too. Not quite sure about that yet. I'm having a little battle in my head. On the one hand, everyone will be here in December so I'll see them then. On the other hand, the first time I spent Canadian Thanksgiving here in the US I was super super sad and I vowed never to do that again. But I think I might be able to do that again. lol

I love being home for Thanksgiving. The leaves are turning and the weather is usually wonderful. This year I'm going to be spending Christmas in Germany because my brother is there playing hockey so I don't want him to be alone at Christmas time!

hehe. I love watching the leaves change because I guess I like constant change myself.

We have beautiful scenery out here and I will have to take a picture once it begins to change and show yall.

I know what you mean! We were driving down the road the other day and I saw a few leaves on the ground. Don't know where they're coming from because there are no coloured trees and no bare trees. lol. So I said to my husband.... "I think it might be Fall. There are some leaves on the ground."

Please add me to the timeline! I sent my package off today to CSC and the post office lady informed me it should arrive tomorrow since it's in the same state.

For the record, this is a brief description of what I sent:

-I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions of Residency

-2 very scary looking passport-style photos

-photo copies of hubby's birth certificate, divorce papers, and our marriage certificate (I know it wasn't required, but just threw it in there for the fun of it.)

-numerous bank statements, auto insurance documents, bills, etc proving that we do in fact reside together, share joint accounts, etc.

-Personal check for $545 :crying:

-Cover letter pretty much copied and pasted from Len's example posted earlier in this thread...(thanks Len  )

-Copy (front and back) of greencard.

I think that was it....crossing my fingers for a speedy approval hopefully with no RFE's (I have that nagging feeling that I forgot something...that's the worst feeling ever.)

Good luck, Misty.

Just for the record though, I didn't send in photos of myself. I figured I have to go get the biometrics taken any ways and thats what they use for the card.

Oh...I totally didn't realize we didn't need to send in photos with this. Oh well...I look like a gang member or something in the picture due to me being angry at the lady snapping the photo...maybe the mean pic will scare them into approving me quicker
