Went for my biometrics today. A huge waiting room with one other person there. I was a little early, but when I left, there was no one there. Not like 2 years ago! Apparently they have new fingerprinting machines. She said they were very nice to work with. Quick. However, there is a grading system after taking your fingerprint from each finger and mine weren't good. She suggested that she give me the "old" fingerprinting with the ink as well as the computer ones just in case...so I wouldn't have to come back if the FBI didn't like my fingerprints. That was nice of her. Now I await my case on-line and hope to hear shortly "card production ordered"!

Oh wow. I thought they all had those fingerprint grading machines. That's what was used in my AOS. She just kept redoing them until she got a good grade.

Yes, the new system has fingerprinting grades as well. They like them "high". She said most people that had "good" grades had numbers in the 60's and 70's. Mine were in the low 50's. She did say that it's always a good idea to drink lots of water before fingerprinting as it "puffs up the whorls". She submitted mine anyway...she had to redo a few that were in the 40's. Even then though, she thought it best to do the inking so that I wouldn't have to be called back later to do the inking if the FBI didn't like the computer generated ones.

The grades will increase by redoing them a bit...my grades were raised a bit from the 40's to low 50's, but they can't be raised to say a 60 or70, no matter how many times you take them.

And on top of that youz leabin us for 2 weeks :(

No sense being worried about something that's beyond my control. :) I have my extension letter. They'll just have to reschedule me. Besides.... being kicked out of the country (like that's going to happen) isn't exactly a horrible consequence.

:sleepy: byeatch.
