Sorry I haven't had the time to post in the last few days due to my hubby pick-up that caught on fire (nothing major, nobody's hurt, it was parked when it happened, but it sucks cause we just bought it few months ago and we have to deal with insurance and manufacturer..... :( ) Anyways

(((((((((Krikit)))))))))))))) You'll get your NOA soon!!! Don't worry ;)

Len and Treble gratz !

And I got my Biometrics letter in the mail today, appointment on August 14 at 12pm.

Now here's my dilemma, I was hoping it would be in the morning or in the afternoon so that I could work half a day.....but no it's at 12pm!! I work 8am-5pm usually. So I can either work 8am-10h30 to have a time to get home and change and go there.....or work in the afternoon like 1h30-5pm.....which either way is not worthed.... Should I take the day off ???? meh no idea, as I already have my vacation time next week.

you mean show up early that day ?

I don't want to reschedule and walk-in, well it's not really on my way. I was just hoping it would not cut my day in 2 too much, and it's exactly cutting my day in half. But they knew at work that I would have to take some time for that anyways. Not like it's not important lol

No not re schedule try to go in an do an early BIO, take the letter one day next week try on Friday. They may take you early without the rescedule. I think krkit did it for AOS and I have seen others who go in early with just the letter. They iz a little dense so they may think it is your day. Try to go on on Friday next week.

If they say No they I would say work the afternoon of in case so you can be to the appointment on time and not get help up per say at work that day.

No mail yesterday, NArocks. Maybe today.

Mephys, just show up to the biometrics appointment whenever you feel like it. Bring your letter and they will normally take you. They're not usually that busy. Alternatively you could call their office and ask if you can come in earlier or later. They're pretty relaxed about the whole thing.

Really? So, even if it gives you a date and time? I iz confused. I've been hearing a lot of this "j ust show up when you want" stuff lately.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Yeah people do this all the time in the AOS forums. They just walk in and if they aren't too busy, they'll take them early. I contemplated it, but after looking at timelines, it doesn't necessarily speed you up.
